Very unprofessional, first of all the person who came to the home dose not know how to take measurements of window frames. When windows were delivered, they did not fit. Guys trying to installed them where extremely upset that they started to rip my existing framing out. The existing front window is a 3 piece set, individual windows. They tell me it would have been better to install a window from brick to brick. I was not planning a brick to brick window instalment. Installers safety concerns for others was non existent. Kept throwing ripped out window framing onto the ground below with no regards for others. Would not recommend.

Hello Nick,
I'am the owner of Fieldstone Windows & Doors and also the one responsible for the measuring. While you are correct that there was an error in my measurements, I think the finished results more than make up for it.
As you can see in Image#1(See Gallery), the 3 bay windows are separated by a drywalled post. I assumed the post was drywalled on all 3 sides, but as we discovered on installation day, this was not the case. Your contract called for a sub-frame style of installation, where the windows would simply be inserted between the posts. Because I believed there was drywall on these posts, I made the windows 1" wider than I otherwise would have.
I received a phone call from the installer on Oct 12th when he discovered the issue and drove straight there to resolve things with him and you.
My solution was to change the installation method to a more expensive "split-frame" style. This is a process where the inner half of the frame remains and the exterior portion is removed.
I must admit I was surprised to see your review this morning. Since you were in agreement with the proposed solution.
Yes, this was not exactly what was agreed to on the contract but there are actually several advantages. (Image 3 & 4 See Gallery)
- The hollow posts are now fully insulated which would not have been possible.
- You have larger windows and increased glass size
- You received a more expensive installation
- It looks nicer visuallyThank you for your comments about safety. I believe you are referring to our guys dropping wood from your front porch to the lawn below. We are planning an operations meeting to discuss better ways of handling debris safely and minimizing risk.
I'am sorry you waited over a month to bring this to our attention. You didn't mention anything at the time and paid us in full. Would you like to schedule another visit with me to look at the finished product?
We would like to win back your trust.Ken Simpson
