This was to be the cost ($950) Once my goods were picked up, he emailed me that I had gone over the limit, which I know I hadn't, and added another $50. Then I was told they would have to be palletized. Another $100. I had already asked what other costs I might incur when my goods arrived in Spain. All I could get out of him, after he had my goods and I had paid, was that this was my total cost to him. My bill in Spain rose to an additional $1100.00. I'm not certain if the company on this end hosed me as well. I've been charged an additional $450 in taxes, which should not be as I have my NIE number. I am still in the middle of this and the outcome is unclear. Trust me ... just stay away from Leon and Fast Freight Forwarding. Nun said !!

This company is a fraud and so are the people running it. All the earlier reviews about Leon Sr are absolutely true. I just wish I had seen them earlier. Leon Sr will charge you for Grade 1 service and then he will hand over your stuff to a Grade 3 company to move and completely forget who you are.
Their strategy seems to be same for everyone. Wrong shipment weight. Charging extremely high and promising to calculate the final cost based on actual weight of shipment (which you will never get to know as they will never provide scale ticket i.e. the actual weight of shipment). Answering the calls and responding to emails only till the stage they get the contract signed. 10-15 days delay in delivery and just not caring about the customer. I had an extremely difficult time with these guys. I wish I had discarded or donated everything rather than moving my stuff with them. In any case, they will not leave your stuff in useable condition.... you will get your furniture half broken and ripped. To cut the long story short, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Much like Jennifer (Whose review I wish I found earlier) I would like to warn the public away from this place. Leon Sr. has been nothing but combative and elusive in terms of dealing with him. I recently moved from Ontario Canada to Melbourne Australia.

Like Jennifer, Leon tried to tack on DOUBLE what was actually being shipped. He tried to claim I was shipping 2.8 containers instead of the 1.2 I actually shipped. Then, when I called him out on it, it took 2 weeks to "remeasure" the shipment, in which time my passport and packing list I had provided was conveniently lost. Despite numerous attempts to provide him with another one over Christmas, he tried to tack another $250 "Holding fee" onto my shipping charges.

He then refused to answer further calls and emails for almost 2 months, not letting me know where the shipment was or processing payment until I received an email from another shipper in Australia that my goods were on the way to BRISBANE and that I would have to pay extra freight costs to ship it down to Melbourne.

Leon Sr has been unreachable since then and I'm sure will continue to be so in the future.

Customers - NEVER deal with this company, they are shady, elusive and will obviously never provide accurate services. Don't trust them with your personal belongings.

Leon Parent Sr is anything but reputable. He stalled us and evaded our phone calls once our household items were picked up. He waited until the day we moved to give us an invoice for payment. We have since learned how much we actually shipped. Leon Sr tacked on 1.5 cubic meters extra of volume we did not ship and tried increase the per cubic meter charge over what was listed on his estimate. When I pointed out that he had quoted a different price, I was able to get the original quoted price. I am in the process of trying to get my money refunded for the 1.5 CBM of goods we never shipped.
Mr Parent also changed the shipping route which cost us an extra $1734.00 in shipping charges and an increase in transit time. He held our goods an extra 2 weeks with no explanation. Our goods were supposed to be off-loaded at a port near our new home so we could handle destination charges and pick-up on our own. Instead he shipped our household goods for off-loading in a port 6 hours away.
Mr. Parent ignores all of our attempts to communicate with him. He refuses to provide a Bill of Lading, an invoice showing the amount shipped or any information about what ship our goods are on. We are caught between Mr. Parent and the local freight handler.
If I had to do it again, I would not use Fast Freight Forwarding.
