Express Rooter Plumbing

We had a Martin and Adam come in to help out with a rough in for a 3 piece bathroom and a laundry room in the basement. I broke up the concrete and dug the trench to save some $$ on the manual labour side of things. Martin worked with me to accomodate my schedule on fairly short notice. The work was completed on time as scheduled. They were very professional, answering my questions and explaining why they were doing things the way they did. They understood the importance of doing the work to code while taking into the account the design elements of the job. Both he and Adam were a pleasure to deal with and I have already referred them to neighbours. I will call them again if I have plumbing issues in the future. They are very knowledgeable people who are up front and honest.

Only company I could get to come out within an hour, despite other's so called "emergency service". Found the problem, fixed it immediately and at a reasonable price. Thanks. I would call them again in a second, and recommend to friends.

This company has worked on my house on 3 seperate ocassions. The were excellent from the consoltations to the services performed and the post follow-ups. If I ever need plumbing work done on my home again, I definitely wouldn't hesitate to call them. No wonder Mike Holmes trusts these guys:)

I was impressed with Martin from the moment he entered our property. I felt his quote for our basement work was quite fair. And Express Rooter did an exceptional job excavating our basement and addressing our "not to code" drain issue. There was no evidence of any mess after the guys wrapped up for the day. As a bonus, they also stepped up and completed our city paperwork (for a the city rebate). No question, these guys are professional.

However, the work we had done at the front of the property did seem expensive. We were quoted $2499 and our neighbor, who had the same work done a month or two before, paid about $700 less. Perhaps the jobs weren't equivalent. But our situation was that we just wanted to get the work done...while the crew was on the premise (they were wrapping up the basement work).

I would definitely recommend Express Rooter again as they are above and beyond professional. But I would get multiple quotes for future projects and ask for additional information on the calculation of any supplier's quote (if it was significantly higher than comparable competition (e.g. another company offering a similar warranty on parts and labour). Just a slight caveat.

I had approximately 50 feet of sanitary drain inside and 75 feet outside that needed to be replaced due to aging and tree roots. I had many estimates from various companies ranging in price and scope of work. I decided to go with ExpressRooter because they are affiliated with Mike Holmes and considering magnitude of the work, I wanted to deal with professional company that has reputation and good track record. Martin Wroblewski who is Master Plumber and Mechanical Engineer was project coordinator who took his time and kept me updated throughout the entire excavation process. The work took several days, with eight guys working very hard and barely taking any breaks in constant heat and humidity. At the end, I was pleasantly surprised of how clean the place was with grass replaced and cement nicely finished in the basement. What’s also very important is that this company provided me with insurance, license, and clearance certificate from WSIB before they put a shovel in the ground. That’s professional service and piece of mind.

I called ExpressRooter because my stack was leaking on the main floor every time I used upstairs bathroom. Service technician arrived within hours to diagnose the problem and provided estimate for stack replacement. Martin and Adam, two master plumbers, arrived the next day to replace my stack from upper level down to the basement. They finished the work within a day and were very clean and professional. I found Express Rooter in the Yellow Pages and was drawn by their connection to Holmes on Homes. Bob Wallbank the technician was courteous and professional. He explained everything he was doing and why. He went above and beyond by replacing worn and damaged parts that were not part of my original call. I would definitely recommend them highly.

We moved into a new house and had a sewer back up in the basement on the second day. After calling the city, they sent several sewer experts to determine if the problem was ours or theirs. It turned out that the problem was on our property and was a job that we had to remedy.

After calling the builder, the plumber that he sent was unable to solve the problem to our satisfaction. He was only able to tell us that he was not familiar with drain problems and that his specialty was plumbing.

We called three drain companies and the one that I called last, Express Rooter stuck in my head. It was not because I had seen them on Holmes on Homes, it was because a plumber had told me to call them if I ever had a problem with my drains.

Not only did they solve the problem with the most sophisticated equipment, they cleared their schedule so that we could resume life as quickly as possible.

The job is now finished, without a trace of a mess and we are absolutely thrilled. The employees were polite, respectful and very knowledgeable, since they were all qualified plumbers.

The job was explained to us every step of the way and we were able to see the progress as it was being made. We were not talked down to, nor were we told things that were too technical in nature that we would not be able to understand anything.

I would like to thank all of the hard working people at Express Rooter for their time and patience, since I did ask a lot of questions. They tolerated me looking over their shoulders on a regular basis and gained my respect for their work ethic.

There are a lot of people out there who are able to repair problems, yet they really need to be credible and a specialist in their field.

It is true, when you are happy with a company you tend to tell everyone you know, as well as when you are unhappy with a company. I told my neighbor about the company and they are now going to be in contact with them. It takes a lot for me to recommend a company, especially one in the trades, since I deal with them on a daily basis. As a Co-operative education teacher at a technical school, I am in contact with hundreds of companies throughout the year. Ones that are not up to a certain standard are cut from our list, yet that doesn't mean that they are not out there practicing their trade.

If you make only one phone call for drain or plumbing problems, call Express Rooter and be assured of a quality job that is without comparison.

In Summer 2007, Yuri from Express Router quoted and managed a job to replace about 12' of drain from my foundation wall to the sewer main. After getting 3 quotes, they and another company (large chain) were within a few dollars of each other (and lowest).

This job involved digging up the yard, replacing the cracked clay pipe with PVC, installing new cleanouts, and then refilling and surfacing the holes.

The job was done on time, to spec, and they did a good job in filling and concreting over the holes. Yuri was accomodating in providing updates and information throughout the project. They even set aside some of the excavated bricks from the yard fill for us.

It's been a year, and drains and concrete are in excellent shape. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

It was a real pleasure to work with Martin and his father. They were very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. His crew were very professional and true to his word completed the job in time.
