Revitalization, Preparation and Painting of Home
We had purchased a 4,500 sq. ft. house that was lived in for 20 years (without much touch-up) and the last 10 years by 5 adults, 3 dogs and 2 cats. So the walls, ceilings and trim were grubby and marked up. We had spent 2 weeks renovating the main floor by adding a new kitchen, crown moulding, entranceway moulding, wainscotting and 7" baseboard. My wife, twin boys and I were due to move in within 5 days and the original painters we hired never showed up. I hit homestars.ca on a Saturday night at 6:30pm and started calling around. Massimo called me back on his way to a funeral and said he could have his crew there the next morning at 8am. As soon as they arrived Massimo and his team knew what had to be done to make the house new - prep, clean, sand, paint the doors, fill the holes, remove the door handles and electrical plates, spray the ceilings, oil vs. laytex, primer, etc... The job took 5 of them just over 7 days and looking back about half the time was preping and sanding while the rest was coats. They did an equally good job on the newly installed wood trims as on the existing ones (including the doors). More than once they weren't happy with how something turned out after 1-2 coats (it depends on the paint you choose) and ended up applying another coat and/or re-patching/sanding down before apply another coat. What impressed me the most was their courteousy, professionalism and desire to give us their best job no matter what. They treated my house as if it was their own. They worked so hard that some days they left sweating and dazed from the effort and concentration they put out (as if they had just run a marathon). The job they did was beyond excellent - our house looks like new. Massimo and his team didn't just paint. Their passion and caring gave our house a unique feeling that made it a more special place for us to enjoy and call home. Thanks guys!~
