Main drain blockage problem resolved
Called the folks over at DrainWorks to fix a main drain blockage in our basement. I tried a few different things on my own but couldn't get this unpleasant problem to go away. DrainWorks committed to a time window and arrived promptly as promised. The service man was polite, courteous and made sure he wore his slip on covers as required when walking through the house. Even the snake had its own slip covers for the wheels to ensure a clean job.
The problem area had a drop sheet laid out by the serviceman to contain any mess that would occur during the service. Problem was found about 20 feet from the drain which means the problem was just outside the house perimeter. The serviceman continued to snake for about 60 feet ....which gave me further assurance that the immediate blockage was taken care of.
