UPDATE-Replacement of Sewage Pipe

ISSUE IS STILL ONGOING AND WAS NOT CORRECTED AFTER SPENDING ALMOST $4000.00.

I notice the person doing the responses here replies the exact same way to each complaint . Trying to point out the positives and not address the actual complaints. Correct, no one is FORCED...however your staff is FORCEFUL. That is unprofessional. I could care less if you feel my comment was inappropriate. Are you telling me you send qualified plumbers to do the job? If so why did your "worker" not know what a WATER SHUT OF VALVE WAS??? I HAD TO GO AND SHUT MY OWN WATER OFF MYSELF!!! How about trying to correct issues with your customers rather than using this site to hide and defend your unprofessionalism.

OUR NEW PIPES WERE NOT TESTED PRIOR TO BACK FILLING AND THE SMELL IS STILL COMING UP.

Why don't you try googling your company to see the MULTIPLE complaints your have outside of this site.....

There was a sewage smell coming up into our home. Called on Saturday and tech was late, but arrived within 3 hours. Paid $368.25 for a 5 minute camera inspection. Told us we had a collapsed cast iron pipe. Need to replace 10 ft. Tech was quite pushy and salesy. I Told him I need to call my insurance company first and he still pushed. Unfortunately we had to book this company because after a few other LOWER QUOTES these people were the only ones available immediately to do the job. When your desperate and have sewage gas seeping up into your home then sometimes there is no choice.

Same Tech arrived in the morning to take partial payment and of course went on to "pre warn" me about the possibility of needing to replace the entire pipe, but he would give us the "best price". I was already prepared for his sales pitch once they started the job. The tech left after his two minions arrived. A couple hours into the job they had dug to the break point and I heard the main worker on his phone speaking a different language. Shortly after the Tech arrived back with this Camera and started marking the snow on my lawn with spray paint...I was ready for him and his sales pitch ;) He snaked the line again and wanted to show me that of course the entire line needed to be replaced. He sat down with me and his handy binder with a price list sheet and offered me a great rate of only $10,000 more to replace the rest of the pipe. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Do people really fall for that and hand over that kind of money? They don't even break down the price for you. You are paying for all lahour at the tune of $600-$800/hour.

Our job was complete in about 4.5 hours with about $200 in material. I was tired, irritated by the smell from the last 5 days and not in the mood for this Techs poor sales training to try to get $10,000 more out of me to replace with an abs pipe. I declined. He then attemped to offer me to insert the abs pipe in the old pipe for only another $6500. He said that's a great price lol. Again I refused and had to say no a few times before he finally got up and left...or so I thought. The workers continued to do their job and 5 minutes later the Tech came back in, now with a written estimate on the extra work I had just declined MULTIPLE TIMES. We already had a trust issue with this company because of the Tech being pushy in his first visit. There was no way we were giving this company anymore money. I told the Tech I want the job we were quoted for completed and that's it. Finally he left.

The workers finished their job, back filled and threw a piece of wrongly cut plywood on the cut hole they made to access below. The Tech did not come to "check" the job as he said he would before we started the work. What they do is come back to try to sell you to do more work just prior to the quoted work getting started. They just come to sell. He did not come back to check the final work of his minions...which I'm sure are working for $15/hr doing this crappy job...literally. The workers, both very nice grabbed their stuff, took the remainder of my payment and left.

When I returned to the room they had worked in I saw that our freshly painted room had the paint and top layer of the drywall paper ripped off all across our ceiling and a patch on the wall from them using tape to try to plastic off half of the room. They did not use a tape that is ok for ceilings and walls....they used a duct tape which ripped it off. Now we have to repaint the ceiling and one section of wall. My husband had to go to Lowes to buy a new sheet of plywood to cover the hole in the floor which didn't so the sewage smell was seeping into my house. The workers didn't even run water or flush or anything to test the new pipes before they back filled it??? These are inexperienced workers they are sending out to do these jobs. All I know is that the repair we just paid $4000 for better be done properly. We will never use this company again. Workers were polite and did their job. The Tech and his tactics are worse then a car salesman. If this is how the company chooses to operate their company then they sure won't have a lot of repeat business.

Building trust with customers should be first and foremost. That's how you build a company professionally. Checking the work completed to ensure there are no leaks, especially when dealing with a sewage line is IMPARITIVE. Just ridiculous.

Company Response

Technician arrived on site Feb 18th. Upon doing the camera inspection it was found tat there was a damaged sewer pipe. There was an estimate left for the customer. Feb 19th the customer called back to proceed with the estimate. The customer in no way was forced or “pushed” into proceeding with the work. They were given a chance to think it over and it was their choice to call us back.
It is our policy to do a secondary camera inspection once the pipe has been opened and it is our responsibility to inform the homeowner if there are potential issues that could cause damage in the future. If there are further issues in the pipe we provide an estimate and the homeowner and it is their choice should they wish to proceed or not. We do not force any homeowner to proceed, again it is their choice
In this case the homeowner did not proceed with any further work.
We take pride in great customer service and appreciate any sort of feedback in regards to our work. But in this case we feel that this review is completely inappropriate. To call our workers “minions” is uncalled for.
