From start to finish I could not have been more impressed with this company. On first contact I was able to get a same day quote on my job. The fact that Derek came over on Easter Sunday to do this was a true testament to his commitment to his customers. Derek and his crew arrived on schedule and began work immediately. Their efficiency was staggering and tree removal, chipping and clean-up took only 20 minutes. They were professional, polite, accommodating and friendly. My Mom had trees removed by this company a few years ago and the amazing level of service that she received still prevailed today. Derek even gave me some great advice on what type of tree to plant in place of the removed one. I would highly recommend this company for their integrity, consistency and value. There is no company I would trust more for all future arbor related work.

My experience hiring Derek's Tree Service for the removal of a tree, shrubs, and grinding stumps was very positive. The crew arrived on time, and got to work immediately. It took less than 20 minutes to fell, cut-up, and pack away a 50 foot-tall tree, being mindful of safety. The crew left the area clean.

Derek and his crew are truly great bunch of guys.
They all came on time, they knew what they were doing, worked very quiet and extremely efficiently. There was a lot of work to be done and I assumed it may last minimum 3 – 4 hours but it took them almost third of that time. It was pleasure watching these guys work, 10 out of ten. Derek and his crew are great. They have removed two dead ash trees from our property at different times and were so professional, friendly and did an excellent job each occasion. They work so well together - very smooth operation - and fascinating to watch.

Both trees were not in easy spots and were very large. They are so skilled at what they do and managed to remove them safely and very quickly. They did a very thorough clean-up after the job and we were very happy with the service provided from the quote through to the execution.

Derek and his crew removed a tree and tree stump for me in October. They did it quickly, and cleanly with no mess left behind. Also, he charged me $600 less than a quote I received from someone else on Homestars. Finally, my neighbours heat their house primarily with wood and asked me if I could ask Derek to give them the wood. No problem, he cut it up and walked it across the road to their property. I'm not sure what else to say, except, oh yeah, later that day Derek was cutting another tree down in the neighbourhood and also brought that wood over to my neighbours as well. They were ecstatic. I'm not sure why you would hire anyone else, he comes with my highest recommendation.

We hired Derek's tree service to remove a dying tree on our property that was becoming unsafe to us and our neighbours. They showed up on time for the estimate as well as the scheduled time to do the job. We were very impressed with the job they did from start to finish. They left our property very clean.
