Coscorp Master Builders

Hello,
I bought a Coscorp home at Derry Road next to the Milton Sports Arena.
We initially bought from this builder because of the location for our sons (Arena). What we should've done was spent some time and energy in researching this builder. After moving in and dealing with the 60 issues on our P.D.I and not having the issues rectified; we realize that we are living in a nightmare. Our neighbours are also frustrated.
Crooked hardwood floors with gaps and creaks. Stairs not stained the right colour. Leak in basement with mold. Walls not straight. The list goes on.

I hope this helps one person who reads this.
Oh, Andre at the office will try and tell you that things meet the standard. Do not be afraid to fight, even if you have to take Tarion and coscorp to court.

I have purchased number of new homes during my life time but never dealt with someone like Coscorp, who takes your money and then hides behind the warranty. We have had a leak in our home since day one, we had to threaten Coscorp with legal action in order to get it fixed. They came 7 times and the problem still exists. The poor design and workmanship is unbelieavable. Every unit in our complex have had a leak, some worse then others, some to the point where the owners were afraid that their entire ceiling was going to fall. The garage walls are so full of mold due to the water damage that we can predict that the garages will fall down one day and kill someone. Coscorp was called and advised that there is structural damage, but they just dismiss the complaints. What will it take for them to be responsible for their poor workmanship...a death of an owner. Master builder, my foot.

Unfortunately the feedback on this builder would far exceed the allowable text limit. I hope that anyone considering this builder with think long and hard before buying from them! Workmanship and quality of Coscorp is substandard. Customer Service - does not exist. Once they have your money they don't give a damn about you and good luck trying to get responses. I've been in my house for a month and my powder room still does not have a toilet or sink - but no one can explain to me why and when I'm going to get it??!! Still missing a laundry sink - they screwed up the plumbing...it leaked and have not yet replaced it. My stair, which I paid to have stained to match the floor have still not been completed! Nothing on our PDI has been addressed. They just came and took away all the tape we stuck up to show the problem areas but keep sending a poor guy to our house asking us to sign off because he was told the "work was completed" No one has been back to our house to fix any of the items noted on our PDI! Oh, a note to you potential buyers...the reason they won't let you take the upgrade sheet home to review is because they change the prices for the same upgrades - depending on the size of your home. We have both friend and family in the same subdivision and compared notes. The smaller home was charged 1/3 of what we were being quoted for the exact same product/work! Workmanship is pathetic with this builder. Painters missed huge spots throughout the house. Paint drips all over the place. If you buy from Coscorp be prepared for headaches!

I have to agree with all others about Corscorp after sales service. I had 3 pages of work for my 3o day inspection.That only did few traying to explain how everything is within the Tarion specs.They rep. Andre took a book out to show me that all cracks,uneven ceiling, crooket walls and squeaky floor is normal and up to the standards. But most of all they service guy is a big JOKE.And the way they do repairs.OMG. Two drywalls were loose in my upper living room.And instead of using proper screws to secure tha way, he used a cuple nail and covered them with plaster. When i came beck from work, nail already came out.PLEASE DONT MAKE THA SAME MISTAKE WE DID!! Stay away from this builder and this "clawns".Only good thing about Coscorp home is they exterior and interior design. But belive me, NOT WORTH IT!!

Bought a Coscorp home in Milton. Regret, Regret, Regret,...................Do not consider this builder........Poor quality......poor after service......poor company.........The owners are rude and once they have your money....that is that....Fight for everything. do not back down as that is what they want you to do. Go to Tarion and complain and do go to the final stages and let Coscorp get a bad rap......Good Luck....there are many other fine builders out there...DO NOT BE FOOLED!!!

My husband and I did our homework...we compared Coscorp homes to other builders' homes and we decided to purchase our very first home from Coscorp and we are very happy that we did. We recently completed our colour selection with Mary who was extremely helpful in making a difficult and daunting task manageable and enjoyable. She provided us with her expertise and was absolutely wonderful. This is our first home and a big investment for us. So far we have had nothing but very positive experiences with Coscorp.

We are extremely happy with our Coscorp home. We feel that what sets this Builder apart from all the others is their attention to detail and genuine concern to accommodate our needs. Coscorp provided us with a feeling of a custom built home allowing for structural changes to achieve our own architectural signature without the added expense of building our own. The sales staff was extremely professional and very helpful throughout the entire process. We would purchase another Coscorp home and highly recommend this builder.

We have noticed many negative comments on review pages, and were very disappointed. We came into this builder with an open mind and had nothing but positive experiences. We have not taken possesion of our home yet, we are in the selection process and have nothing but positive to speak of. From the beginning when dealing with Vince and Tony, they were very kind and helpful. They answered our questions, and whatever questions they did not have the answers to they made sure they had them by our next visit. They were great to deal with.
We have had some contact with head office, that experience was exceptional.
Our present dealings involving Mary and Ada have been nothing short of spectacular. They have been helpful, kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable. They get all of our questions answered and always make us feel welcome, and not once have felt rushed. We look forward to finishing this process and with the help of the staff, turn our house into a home.

So lets start from the beginning, at first the sales people (TONY) were extremely friendly, saying yes of course we can do this...no problem, well lets just say that once you signed your agreement they really didn’t' care.
We were so unsatisfied that we went and asked them for our $10,000 deposit back and they said no...
Well we moved in 2007 and we still have problems... they do not care, they send unskilled workers that work for 1/2 hr and leave saying its done, we call and complaint and they just don't care, they got our money

Here is a list
-porch is not straight
-railing installed on 1/2 the porch because the other 1/2 or the porch meets the minimum standard of height allowed to be open
-floors are chipped (they attempted to fix them) replacing one long hardwood strip with 3 small hardwood strips all of different colours - ANDRE (customer service) stated this has to do with the humidity -- which is very funny because Tarion checked our humidity and it was good, oh and to add the contractor putting in our hardwood said he can't replace the one piece with one piece because our flooring is not straight..... Well they decided that the different hardwood colours look okay and are refusing to do anything about it.
-plumbing makes a noise
-all baseboards chipped
-walls are not symmetrical
-door frames and window frames are chipped
-basement flooded
-incorrect counter...thanks MARY

Then I was told by Coscorp that it's my responsibility to make sure their contactors do the work that I want done... LAST TIME I CHECKED I AM NOT EMPLOYED FOR COSCORP as a supervisor.

Every contractor that comes in to fix things says they can't- that in order to do it properly they have to redo it.

NOT RECOMMENDED. DO NOT PUT YOURSELF IN THIS MESS

I like most of my neighbours am very unhappy with the way coscorp has treated their customers. ANDRE at customer service is one of the most rude and ignorant people i have ever had to dal with, he just danced around all complaints and i am still waiting for them to come and fix all my issues. The finishing of the area is horrible they hired cheap labour that would work for four hours and take a break for the rest of the time. Lets not even get into the finishing of the interior of the house... I would never recommed this builder not even to my worst enemy STAY AWAY. My stairs were also creaking, ( i figured this one out myself ) In the basement they didnt support it from underneath properly. Once i reinforced it myself the creaking stopped. So much for the ENGENEERED FLOOR JOISTS to eliminate creaking. LOL i could go on all day with this crappy builder. Maybe its just me but when i have to build something for my customers ( i am toolmaker ) nothing but perfection is accepted, maybe coscorp should ask MATTAMY how they keep so many families happy.
