I got an estimate on the replacement of my eaves from Contex. Given that the price they quoted was competitive with other companies, I went with them because they indicated they'd be able to start the job within 4-5 days. After they took my $1000 deposit cheque, I asked again about a start date, and then the story changed and it was going to be at least 2 weeks in the future. It's now over 2 weeks later, they've cashed my deposit, there's no start date in sight, no work order on file, and evidently there is a question about whether the job will involve custom work that will jack up the price above the original estimate. It has taken 4 phone calls from me to get this information. I would stay away from this company - they appear to be efficient when it comes to cashing cheques but little else!

Your claim alarms me. We have a good production team that is always communicating with our customers. Sometimes there are delays beyond control. As for the custom work that might “jack up” the price as you put it, you have not updated your first review. I would like to ask you two things. First, was the finished product completed at a high standard? Second, were you charged extra? Please call me to discuss the longer than anticipated delays and the two aforementioned points.
