ruined my front end on my car

These guys were working on my street. The gravel/ stones spilled all over my truck and caused some significant damage. They then asked me to go through my insurance company to have it taken care of.

Worst customer service

I just want to warn the to be customers for this company, their work quality is not good, work attitude is careless, customer service is the worst i ever experienced. I really shocked how they treat their customers, really regret used this company. A crack was found shortly after they done the paving for us in May, emailed the person who signed the contract, never get response back, called the company, was told will do the fix in December, left message to the manager, never response either, really don't know what kind company is this. If you want the company who cares about their work and their customers, C. Valley is definitely not the one.

Residential Paving

C. Valley Paving did an inferior job paving my driveway. The builder of our new home required our driveway to be paved by C. Valley at a charge of $2000. Within 11 months of the final coat being paved the entire area near the garage has sunk in by over 3 inches with a sinkhole to boot!

Driveway paving

Extremely poor quality of work. Contact on Site told us that would do 1 more coat and more rolling, but the crew never did. In less than 6 months there are many cracks on some holes in the driveway. Numerous contacts with the company have resulted in many promises by the sales guy with no work donation and all calls/emails to the head office get absolutely no replies. Do not use the company

Driveway brick & Paving

I contacted C Valley for a quote a few months ago. I dealt with Vince for the quote. We were assured everything was going to be done correctly as we were in no rush to get this done. He did not sign a contract with us -everything was a verbal agreement. This job has been nothing but a nightmare from the start. When they first came to do the brick we were away. They were asking my daughter where to put the brick, where to start, how it should go down the driveway -like she knows? The guys who were here were very unprofessional -rushing through the job, talking about what they were going to do later that night (Getting drunk), how this job was not going to take them all day and they were going to be done in no time etc. My daughter even made a comment to them at the time when they were doing the brick along the outside of the driveway that the lines were not straight. They told her that that was what Vince told them to do and that it needed to stay like that. The guys who did the interlock didn't even use a string line to measure where the brick needed to go and what grass needed to come out. My son-in-law came to put the string line where it needed to be the following day. We contacted Vince about them not putting a string line and he told us that HIS guys put the string line down when it was really my son-in-law who did it. What was done at our house was absolutely disgusting. The brick was not level, there were no straight lines, the brick dipped towards the garage at the top of the driveway and towards the grass on the boulevard, the brick did not line up with the columns of our garage, the border on one side was protruding outwards from the start of out veranda and didn't line up, some of the bricks were damaged and the brick were put the wrong way. Did they think we wouldn't notice when we came back from our vacation? We contacted Vince regarding these issues. He was very rude and did not want to initially come back to fix it. He told us we would have to pay more if we wanted the brick turned the other way. He also told us we would have to pay more if we wanted to remove a TINY piece of grass to make the line on one side of the driveway straight. Once the brick was in it cut down the amount of square feet needing to be paved -do you think they took that into consideration when charging us for the asphalt? Originally my driveway was 1200 square feet and Vince charged me $2800 for just the paving of the driveway. He told me it worked out to a little over $2.30 a sq ft. Now my driveway is only 1000 sq ft which works out to $2.80 a sq ft. I mentioned it to Vince and he said he didn't care and that's what it was. We finally convinced Vince he needed to come back to even take a look at what needed to be fixed as we were not happy. Our driveway sat like this for about a month not hearing anything from the company as to when they would be coming. They finally showed up yesterday to apparently fix the brick and pave the driveway. It is not much better than it was to begin with. The brick is uneven and is not straight The only reason we hired C Valley was because my SON-IN-LAW likes them and we thought we could trust the quality of work. Were we ever wrong. It is very sad that this is the type of work that they stand behind. We could have hired any other company and should have. We made a big mistake going with this company.

Driveway Paving

Had Vince come out and give a quote as they had done our next door neighbour(2014) . Price was good so gave them the contract to re-pave our Drive. Workmen showed up on the scheduled date and seem to have done a good job. Unfortunately a few weeks later the bottom of the driveway developed 2 large cracks.Called Vince who came out and said , looked like a truck had driven on it. Its a driveway!!! we have a average size car. Anyway said they would come back to fix it. 1 yr later and numerous phone calls and email s to Vince and we are still waiting.

Driveway re-paved

We needed our driveway re-paved and I called Vince for an estimate. He came to our home the same afternoon, measured the driveway and gave me an estimate. He was very professional and knowledgeable and I gave him the contract on the spot. The workmen showed up next day to tear up the old driveway, they were very careful not to damage my neighbour's driveway. Vince came to check on the work and advised me that we must wait 2 to 3 weeks so that the driveway will dry completely. After two weeks, Vince called and told me that his crew will do the driveway in about one hour. The men and machines arrived as promised and they went to work efficiently to re-pave the driveway. They did a great job! They were professional and quick. All in all, it was a great experience.

Driveway

We are so pleased with C Valley. We called in March and Vince promptly called back and he promptly came here with a price. They came a few weeks later to dig up the old driveway and put in crusher run stones. It was done very professionally with many friendly men that worked very hard together in less than an hour and a half. We waited a number of weeks for the driveway to settle and then they came to pave it. Again, it was done very professionally with very friendly men that new exactly what they were doing. They did a wonderful job . We would highly recommend them. You will be pleased
Thankyou Vince and thankyou to your hard working crew.

Asphalt paving with interlock work

In September 2014 I contacted C Valley Paving about re-surfacing my driveway and adding interlock borders and a walkway. I spoke with Vince and he assured me that he can get the work done by mid-October. He dug out my driveway in mid September. In between, he would come by to show me interlock stones for the borders and walkway, the whole time very patient as I changed my mind several times. He was very easy to deal with. He had the whole job completed by mid-October. I would have to say that calling that late in the season I did not expect such quick service and such a great job. I would not hesitate in recommending C Valley Paving.

Asphalt Driveway and Concrete Steps

We dealt with Vince as our primary contact at C Valley Paving. On June 10 of 2013 we agreed on a decent price for Vince to remove our old driveway and front steps and replace them with a new asphalt driveway and concrete steps. The following week the excavation of the driveway and steps was done, and we were told they would come in mid July to finish the job. In reality the work was completed approximately September 23 after several phone calls to the company inquiring as to timing for completion. The quality appeared decent - asphalt looked fine and the concrete had a few faint surface hairline cracks (I cured it properly).

As soon as the snow melted in spring of 2014 it was apparent all was not fine with the driveway. Where we park one of our cars (either a Civic or Santa Fe) a major depression was developing under the front left tire area and smaller one where the front right would sit. When the weather warmed up the left side quickly turned into a 2 foot by 3 foot 6 inch deep hole of heaving pavement. It continued to crumble and get worse and worse. Through the summer we made weekly phone calls to the C Valley head office. Many messages were left for Vince requesting he come and look at the problems. By the fall we were calling daily. Vince finally returned my call and claimed he had stopped by and looked at it and that he didnt see anything wrong with it... he somehow missed the huge crater I guess? I told him I believed they had done a poor job and he should stand behind his product. Vince eventually swore at me and hung up on me. He called me back one minute later and said he was not afraid to deal with me face to face and was coming over. Finally.

When Vince shows up he agrees the driveway is a mess, and that it shouldn't have happened. However it must be our fault as we must have been parking an industrial truck there - with the exact foot print of our Santa Fe? Nothing large was ever parked there. Our neighbour told me the day they put the driveway in they removed a massive amount of base gravel first, but Vince does not think that could have lead to the sink hole. He tells me to pay someone to do core testing on the driveway and prove to him that there isn't enough gravel. He also tells me all the negative reviews online are put there by competitors (I guess my wife and I are now competitors in the paving business). He took pictures of the hole in order to send them to the head office, who would decide if they should fix it. He claimed the so called warranty didn't cover... anything really. He left and we never heard from him or anyone else at C Valley again. We now are left to pay to fix/replace an 18 month old driveway.

Bottom Line - C Valley Paving installed a poor quality product and refused to stand behind their work. Poor communication, unprofessional and the "warranty" is non existent. If you have a problem you will be completely disregarded, and Vince specifically is awful to deal with. They may have been a respectable company in the past, but if so things certainly have changed. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
