Steve was very efficient and business-like over the phone. In trying to ascertain the problem his questions were succinct, allowing him to get a feel for the issue. He estimated an approx cost of between $600 and $700 to carry out the repair. Providing he could obtain what he considered might be the required parts, he agreed to be available the following day. This is in fact what transpired. He arrived promptly, made the repair and the stove was up and running in less than 45 minutes. He didn't require payment immediately; instead he wanted to be sure that the stove was working satisfactorily. Two weeks later I received an e-mail asking me to ascertain that this was, in fact, the case. On my positive response, I subsequently received an invoice for $491, ($100-$200 less than his estimate).
