I bought a dryer two years ago from Bad Boy. About two months ago the dryer stopped working properly and was deemed unrepairable and replaced under their solid gold warranty. Which was all good. However, the dryer they delivered to replace it arrived scratched AND did not work AT ALL. When we called Bad Boy to report this, they directed us to GE. GE sent a repair person, who discovered that the entire motor of the dryer was not working. This was the supposedly brand new dryer that they delivered to replace an already broken dryer! I am a reasonable person and I understand that GE manufactured it and it is mainly their fault, but when I contacted Bad Boy to let them know about this, they essentially said sorry about your luck but it's GE's fault. In my opinion this is not very good customer service. When I asked if they cared about the quality of the products they stock they simply said we have no way of knowing what condition they are in. Well yes that is obviously true but most companies stand behind the products they stock and would have said okay, we know it's not us but let us take the dryer and deal with GE (I have a friend who had a similar situation at another company, who did exactly as I described) or at least have apologized and offered a 10% discount or something! It was overall a very disappointing and frustrating process. I am left without a dryer for over a month, with a small baby and not even so much as an actual apology from Bad Boy. I actually really liked the salespeople there but will not be returning to the store based on this experience.
