After many years of living with asbestos wrap on our heating system we finally decided to have it removed. It was encapsulated but over time we feared that it might become a problem especially as we were planning an extensive renovation of the basement, which could potentially disturb the asbestos fibres. We really didn't want to close it in as part of the renovation and leave the problem for someone else down the line. Amosite was recommended to us by our furnace installer.
