Alexanian Carpet & Flooring

My wife and I contracted Alexanian's to install wool carpet and engineered hardwood. The products used were excellent and the service was exceptional. The manager at the Newmarket store, Frank, is a gentleman. He ensured that the project was a huge success. Frank would actually call me to find out how the project was moving along and to see if I had any concenrs with the products or workmanship. The installers that Alexanians uses are experienced and well trained. The quality of the work is seciond to none. At one point during the carpet installation, there was a small issue with the capret. Frank arranged to have the piece of carpet replaced and came to our home and inspected the work to ensure we were fully satisified. My wife and I would certainly recommend this company to our friends. Other companies should learn form Alexanians - an organization that strives to make sure its custoemr are fully satisified.

This happened over 2 years ago but every time I see a commercial for Alexanian I regret not taking the time to write a review. So here it is, finally! Strike 1: when the woman from Alexanian came to measure & do the estimate, she brought her husband who was not an Alexanian employee. He needed to use our bathroom & then wanted to look around at our renovations. It was uncomfortable & inappropriate. Strike 2: the installers showed up at a completely different time than what had been arranged. Fortunately I was home & able to accommodate them. Strike 3: They barely had enough carpet to do the job because it had not been measured properly. The installers said it wasn't measured for "winding" staircase. (I would love to know if this job was done right because I saw them using glue!) Strike 4: Absolutely zero cleanup was done. My large centre hall was covered in carpet lint & cuttings. They left a large mess for me to clean after they finished the job. Never again Alexanian!

In my search for carpet for my new home theatre, I found that Alexanian's had the best carpet quality for price that I could find even when compared to the big box and discount carpet stores. I was impressed with the pre planning that the salesman did ( coming to my house and measuring and explaining the best way to minimize the seam between the two large pieces.)

Contract issued on November 8th 2013. work not started until end of November after making a lot of phone calls. One the worst Companies to communicate with. As far as the work done I would rate carpet 5 rating and the Hardwood at 8 rating. In keeping promises this company's the worst its been two months and I am waiting for my 4X6 carpet replacement by the manager. Location 6435 Erin Mills Pkwy Unit 18 Mississauga, Ontario. I would personally not deal with this outlet.

I was looking for good quality and reasonable price and I founded it at this store. The employee was very knowledgeable,he took extra time to explain us the advantages of cork floors for our basement. We like the idea and went with it.
Our basement is very functional and we are happy with the look. The fact that the floors are from a renewable source is a plus.

We went to Alexanian's to look at Hardwood Flooring. We found a sample that we both liked. Our Sales Rep, Shant, let us take the sample home. It was the first floor we have agreed on! Again Shant was very good at re-assuring us of Alexanian's reputation for service and we went with them...The floor looks fantastic! The installers were great and even did the little extra things that took them above and beyond. Kudos to Hugo and Mustafa.
I would recommend to family and friends and we have already ordered an area rug from them to complement our new floor.

I called Alexanian to clean a sectional which had been in storage for some time. The sales people were not very helpful i.e. did not explain the cleaning process or provide a proper quote. The gentleman who came to clean the sofa was professional and explained the process thoroughly. We were happy with the cleaning service provided but would recommend better service at the call center so that they can provide the appropriate information to customers.

Decent initial sales experience and installer was decent but service management was well below expectations. Screwed up install date, poor communication, no management involvement when issue arose and very little consumer restitution offered. Too bad they took over from Giant Carpet - quality service, not matched by Alexanian. Not recommended.

I went to Alexanian in Toronto to replace the carpet in my bedroom. Ian was helpful but not pushy, and left me to look on my own when I asked him to but came over right away when needed. He was knowledgeable of the carpet choices and was able to make helpful suggestions. Installation was on time, quick and efficient, and they removed the old carpet when they left. I was totally pleased with the process and the end result. The only drawback is that they installed a thicker underpad than I had before, so my closet doors are difficult to slide open and closed. I would have appreciated it if Alexanian's had taken this into account when selecting the underpad. Otherwise the process was pleasant and satisfying.

From the beginning to the end the service was excellent!
We chose the flooring, it was ordered and delivered on time. The installation was fast and very clean. The sales rep. Shane was very nice and helpful. The price was fair (6.49 s/f, and 2.5 installation)
