I used to be a supporter of A1 but their service has deteriorated and I don't feel they value their customers' time. My service appointment was to comply with supercare in order to maintain a 10 year warranty coverage for our furnace. I was given a window between 9-1 and after they didn't show up I called and was advised that they had the appointment from 11-3. I was not advised of any change and wasted a complete day from work for this appointment. Very poor customer service.

I've used A1 in the past, and I've stuck with them ever since. They have good service, and get the work done efficiently, and effectively. I would highly recommend them.

I have dealt with A1 Heating & Air for about 30 years, I have purchased air conditioners & furnaces. On Dec. 07 I had a new furnace installed. the sales rep. was very knowledgeable in the product, he answered all my questions & offered me good advice. When the installers arrived very punctual. Removed the old furnace & installed a new one, the 2 men did a very neat job & cleaned up after. I would highly recommend A1 My #65985

The technician arrived on time to service our furnance. He was friendly, very thorough and extremely clean and organized and answered all of our questions. I would have no problem in recommending this company to anyone.

After 2 years research, many quotes, could not decide only because I was not confident of the companies. After reading reviews on homestar, I decided to call A1 . My first call to reception, scheduling and Richard Preston impressed me and made it easy to make the decision. Richard was transparent, explained all the details very well. Very professional from start to finish. Not the least expensive company out there but definitely the most reliable, thorough and transparent one I've had in my home.

Dispatch # 65300 Wednesday morning we realized our furnace wasn't working. Called A-1 and had a technician within a few hours tell us we had a cracked heat exchanger. Cost to replace was almost as much as a new furnace, so as ours was installed by A-1 20 years ago, we decided to go with a new one. The newer ones are more efficient, and lower in cost to run. It was measured up on Thursday and by 10:00 am Friday we were warm and cosy again. Excellent service, personable staff, and we have already referred them to our neighbour whose furnace also died.
