4 years ago I gave a review regarding a squirrel problem. Last year we called Gates again for a squirrel problem in a different location. We had a DIY cap on an unused kitchen chimney, which had become detached. I was hearing pitter-patter and scratching sounds in the kitchen and in the room above it. Dan from Gates cheerfully clambered on to our high roof and tall chimney. He quickly determined that a squirrel had gone down the chimney , but because of a clay liner at the top, it couldn't get back up. He lowered a rope, installed a one-way door and
food bait. A couple of days later, he came back, saw that the
food was eaten, and put a secure cap on the chimney. No more
scratching, no more squirrel. Gates is more expensive than
many pest companies, but everything is done in a safe and
professional way, and the problem is solved.

Hi Linda, thank you for your detailed description of Dan's work and for trusting us to humanely solve your squirrel problems on two separate occasions. Please allow me to comment on your statement that we are "more expensive than many pest control companies". The vast majority of wildlife / pest control companies quote a low price over the phone and charge for an on-site estimate. Once they are on-site, their price to solve the wildlife problem becomes much higher than what they quoted on the phone and if you don't proceed, you must pay for the estimate. At Gates Wildlife Control we offer a free, no obligation, on-site free estimate with no surprises. We pride ourselves in offering very competitive pricing and will beat our competitions written estimates, for comparable work, by 10%. I hope this helps you understand that our competitions seemingly cheaper prices over the phone are in reality the same or more expensive than ours. Brad Gates, B.Sc. Owner / President
