We recently had Bathfitters remodel our main upstairs bathroom. The sles process was terrific. We met with Greg from the Oshawa, Ontario location and he was very professional, providing us with several ideas from his many samples. At first we thought we would have a "plastic tub" look, however that is not the case. Product has solid density and is as sturdy (or even more so) than your old underlying tub, with a porcelin feel. The friendly installer arrived on time as promised and the job (very methodical) as it progressed towards completion. Prep work is quite interesting and in my opinion is meant to last a very long time with all of the plumbing, dry wall and adhesive work that is done first. The finished product looks outstanding and it was obvious that the installer took tremendous pride in his work. We are very pleased with the initial consulting process right through to the installation. When it was all done, you would not have guessed anyone was there in the first place as the cleanup was excellent. This is much cheaper than a full bath tub and tile replacement and looms great. We hired Windows by installer (wbi) after some very disappointing interviews with other companies. Vadim was very professional and patient when it came to helping us sort out our window needs. He was one of the few we interviewed that actually ask us for the business. We changed 12 windows in our 16 year old home. We were experiencing significant dry rot in the existing largest window which required replacement. Borys is the foreman on the instal side and the man and his crew were literally artists! Very clean removal of existing windows and systematic and clean install of the new product. They look really good and have changed the look of our home. As the windows were made for the openings vs the blinds, we have several new window coverings to purchase. Many of the blinds were only 6 months old. That said, the level of insulation that was put into the new windows was great. Downside is that it renders the actual windows smaller than the old so new blinds are in order. I have called Vadim back to size two more windows and look at one that seems a bit tight in the casement mechanism. Vadim was very responsive on my call back to him and were are to meet again in June. So far very pleased with the quality of the window products, workmanship and price. Great folks to deal with.

What a pleasant experience dealing with 416-so clean. Dalton and Rahael arrived on time and took great care to cover our floors, provide us with booties and explain all the work to be done. Both gentlemen were highly professional and delight to chat with. The work was very well done bringing back new life to our 16 year old carpeting that had seriously considered replacing. This is a follow up to my review in 2012. Had a small piece of shingle come loose in the wind and I sent Tom a note and came out right away to fix. Small fix but big deal as his after sale service is exceptional. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tom to anyone. Simply you get what you pay for. Thanks Tom for reinforcing our decision to have you replace our roof. It still looks like it was installed yesterday! Ian and Marg.

We decided to use Brian to replace our old sliding door with a new North Star door with mini-blinds. We obtained quotes from a few other companies but none left us feeling like they really wanted our business until we met Brian. The job was scheduled for 8 in the morning and Anderson was right on time. Two and a half hours later the job was complete. Brian and Dave were so organized you would never have known they were there in the 1st place! They worked around a tile floor and were very careful to remove the old door without disturbing the attached ceramic tiles. The job was beautifully done and we could not be more pleased. If the other companies had been on the ball they would have realized that there was much more work to be done such as south facing windows which have to be replaced. Given how excellent their workmanship is, Brian will be replacing our large great room window and four other smaller windows facing south. I didn't tell him yet however we will have Brian replace a few basement windows as well. Then comes a new front door entrance which Brian and his company will also do. It is very hard to find a solid contractor, however, I can say without hesitation that you will not be disappointing in either Anderson's prices or their very fine workmanship. It has been a real pleasure dealing with Anderson Doors and Windows and I look forward to having other work done as soon as the spring weather permits. Congratulations Brian on doing such a marvelous job and you have earned a long time client! heck....we are even talking about possible basement reno work in the winter. These folks are pros!!

After much consideration we decided to hire Northland to replace our driveway and fix our walkway that was messed up by a previous contractor. Mike came to see us in October and I must say he is a real pro. We had seen the work his company completed for our neighbor's drive way and were very impressed. Being unsure of exactly what we wanted, Mike was great @ giving us ideas and we settled on precast concrete borders and pavers running up both sides of the driveway. For the walkway, Mike used the existing stairs and borders along with new pavers and saved us some money. The guys that did the work were fantastic and they did a great job of keeping the area clean. They started and finished the job as promised. In summary, Northland Paving is a great company that lives up to their solid Homestars reviews and ratings. We are very pleased with their work and have no hesitation recommending them to neighbors and friends. Thanks Mike and the crew for your pride in workmanship and for doing such a great job! I&M.

My wife and I decided it was time to to change our roof and and did our thorough homework in the process. We had spent a fair amount of time checking out reviews on companies and their respective rankings on HomeStars. We wanted to get several quotes for the job and without a doubt, Tom of Mega City Roofing Inc was the guy who really impressed us the most. Out of 11 quotes, he was the only one who actually asked us for our business. A few of the quotes thought they were getting the business just for showing up! We finally decided on Mega City Roofing as we were confident they would get the job done right and we were not dissapointed. We found Tom to be a true professional in his field and definitely knows what he is talking about when it comes to roofing! Tom and his crew showed up as promised and after a Timmy's run, everyone got to work. I replaced my shingles with Tom's highly recommended GAF HD Timberlines. They are much higher rated quality than both IKO and BP (for not much more $ than the competitor's prices for their higher quality shingles). They have a nice 3D effect on the roof with great definition. They should last 30 years according to warranty and with the prep work we had done, we're hoping that's the case! I can only say that after about a month they look simply amazing! Tom was also instrumental in helping us choose the right color...great decision....they look great! During the instalation Tom's guys were very professional and worked through the entire project systematically, with great care and all the while demonstrating excellent pride in workmanship. Like I said, these guys are pros and it was a great experience to watch and participate in the job (I did get to use the magnetic broom!). The job site was kept clean and the guys went to every effort to cover bushes and equipment (ie AC, glass doors, fountain etc) to protect from falling shingles and debris. Although our house is relatively new (11 yrs), we had the old roof completely stripped down to the wood and replaced with ice and water shield where necessary, 24" metal valleys, new collars, flashing where necessary, new vents and the new shingles. One of the fellows unfortunately had to leave the site early and the crew was down a man. As opposed to rushing thru the job, they opted to complete a small area the next day and were promptly on the job the following morning to finish up. I wasn't at the house the 2nd morning to see them off, however, when I got home, I was so impressed with the finished job. It is simply outstanding! We are very grateful to Tom and his fantastic crew @ Mega City Roofing. I can't say spending the money is fun but I can say that we did get what we paid for and we could not be more pleased.
