In 2009 we contracted with Burl-Oak Paving to have our driveway repaved. They couldn't finish the jub in one day and left a pile of sand and gravel in the middle of the rolled and level base. The next day they were four hours late returning to complete the job and no-one was home to supervise. Rather than trucking away the extra stone, they spread it over the surface of the driveway so that we came home to an elevated causeway from the street to our garage. In the last two years the edges have cracked and the driveway will likely have to be replaced properly by 2013. The previous driveway lasted 30 years. We'll be lucky to get 5 out of this one.
