An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
We interviewed several contractors all of whom we found through this website, but our choice for the job was Umbrella waterproofing. Vlad instilled confidence in us by being professional during the initial waterproofing estimate; he was well-equipped with a special moisture tool, very knowledgeable and provided me with a logical answer to every single of my questions, and believe me I had a lot of questions. We were sold immediately but we still took time to analyze each quote provided. When we called them to schedule the job they made sure we got the dates we wanted. The job was done in timely manner, and our basement has not leaked since. This was over a year ago. Since then we have used Umbrella for another two rental houses, where they did spot repair (waterproofing on one wall) and extending hot cold water lines in the basement of another house. Each time they were very tidy and careful of our homes, their prices were honest and within our budget, and we were happy with the final results. I want to add that every time one of their guys came to do work whether it was plumbing or waterproofing they always were so accommodating and very respectful of our house – always cleaned after they were day for the day and kept any noise to a minimum.
