The basement drain in our old house became blocked during the course of doing some laundry on a Saturday (of course). Nick came to attempt to unblock it, but ran into lots of roots. The only course of action was to break into the basement floor to get at the drain. Nick and his partner were able to clean enough of the drain to make it work, but discovered that about 40 ft from the house the drain pipe had probably collapsed. We decided to seal it up and use it cautiously, rather than digging up part of the front yard at this time. They cemented the floor they removed and cleaned up pretty well. We can now use the laundry!
