I was referred to GTA Railings by Vinyl Pros who did my porch enclosure. I knew I needed a contractor to complete the look with sturdy but beautiful railings and GTA Railings delivered. I called Mike and he texted me back right away. About 2 days later, he was at my house measuring the steps and 2 weeks later, just as he promised, he installed the railings. Dealing with him was a breeze. Very professional and true to his words. Most of all, he delivered and that's what matters. I was looking to illuminate my dark stairway other than regular lighting fixtures or a sky light. Thankfully, I found the sun tunnel as a more affordable, quick-to-install option. When i googled for installation, I came across Moore Skylights which had more than glowing reviews to support its reputation. Jeff was very professional and even apologetic at first for not getting back to me quickly as they were on a family holiday. Very courteous and pleasant to deal with. My wife initially was hesitant to leave someone in the house alone as she had to take my daughter to therapy but I told her, once you meet Jeff you can be sure you'll feel secure as he is a very reliable man. Indeed he was. Although he finished early, he never left the house until my wife came back from the appointment. So impressed with this, aside of course from the quality of the workmanship of the sun tunnel installation. At the end of the day, you can have an excellent craftsman but without a personality to match. In Jeff, you get both - a learned and experienced installer and a wonderful human being to boot. Btw, he also took the before-and-after photos. What more can you ask for? Thank you so much Jeff. All the best! P.S. We are enjoying very much our now very bright stairway. :-)

My kids were opening the fridge door and it came off. This was the 2nd time it happened. I was away when it happened but my wife informed me of the incident. I immediately searched on the Internet via Homestars and called 2 other companies - one did not return my call and the other could only send someone 2 days later. When I saw the good reviews of Hightech Appliance, I visited their website and sent them an email on an early Sunday morning. Minutes later, my cellphone rang and it was Athiar saying he can come visit me in half an hour. I knew his business hours on Sunday do not start at 10AM so wondered why he answered my call. He said the moment he read I had kids, he felt compelled to come asap as he had another call at 10AM. This just shows how dedicated he is. Suffice to say, my fridge door is back on, thanks to Athiar. For sure, he'll be on my contact list from now on.

My last encounter with Valentin was in 2012 and I thought he would forget about me considering the hundreds of clients and the passage of time but to my surprise - he still remembered. Anyway, my master ensuite toilet was leaking and after I left a voice message, he promptly returned my call and set up an appointment. Just like he did 2 years ago, Valentin diagnosed the problem and got to work immediately. I had the fill-in valve, flapper and braided supply line replaced. Val even checked my other toilet (for the kids) if it had the same problem at no cost and gave me some tips on how to determine if there was any leakage. He also showed me how to clean the fill-in valve, if in case there was some residue from the water main pipe replacement that was also happening on my street. Valentin was courteous, polite and very pleasant to deal with - just like the first time I met him. He was very considerate of my home and property i.e. wore shoe covers to protect the floors/carpert, cleaned up after the repair. So lucky to have found him in Homestars in 2012 and still privileged to find him in the same excellent form 2 years later. I recommended him to 2 of my friends even though they lived in Mississauga and North York. Thank you Valentin!

I hired Safetech Alarm based on the reviews here on HomeStars to install an alarm system for my newly-bought house recently and I found people in safetech were very helpful, both on the phones (thanks Sharon) and off (on site). The technician Peter did a wonderful job during the installation and did not mind being rushed out of the door because of an urgent appointment that I had to catch. Their staff eat, live and breathe consistent and quality customer service. I am so impressed.
