I was referred to Chris after trying to find someone to fix some fallen pieces of soffit and discovering that squirrels had taken up residence in the new open space. The first roofing company i called said they simply could not get in to fix my issue. The second said that it would be extremely tricky, but they could do it (an angled roof edge going from first floor to second floor - 3 feet from my neighbours - who have a vertical pitch to their roof - so no access), but I had a squirrel issue - and they would charge me $800 just to get two people to come in and do the work. they gave me Chris's info. Chris showed up EXACTLY when he said he would and was completely confident that he could solve the issue. He and his colleague were up the ladder - totally vertical pitch, fixed the fascia, installed half of the soffit plus a one way squirrel door - and fixed a leak they saw in the roof. All in 30 minutes! Fantastic! They will be back in a week or so to remove the squirrel door and install the other piece of soffit, and I will be leak free, squirrel free, and my roof will be back in good repair. i would not hesitate to recommend A1 or call them again. huge thanks! During the recent ice storm I was, like many people, cold and concerned. I was scared about the possibility of my pipes and rads freezing when my electricity had been out for 3 days. I spoke to several people at Dupont who talked me through draining my rads and then later, the process of refilling them and going my system working properly. They didn't ask me about my status as a customer - they just wanted to help. When I have had issues with my AC or boiler in the past I have used Dupont with very positive results. but this was the instance that really made the biggest difference thank you

Roy was recommended by Flavio of Canda Wide Plumbing. He was able to rearrange his schedule to be there while Flavio was onsite - despite the less than 24 hour lead time. Roy was incredibly helpful in explaining exactly what was happening as the camera went through the drainage system. Roy explained what items could cause real problems down the road and the items that were not any concern. He also gave me great advice on how to keep any of the issues becoming a problem at all - with very low associated cost. I was impressed with Roy's efficiency, professionalism and down to earth attitude. I trusted him totally - and his advice on other ongoing issues was incredibly helpful. thanks Roy!

I had been struggling to find someone to help me with a leak from my upstairs bathroom into my living room .the job was complicated because the living room ceiling is pattered plaster and has coffered wood beams running around it. The bathroom is small and has an iron clawfoot tub. Flavio was recommended to me and moved other things around to help me the morning after my call. Flavio was very professional, took time to ensure he didn't damage my ceiling and made sure I undersood exactly what the possible causes were an the significance of each - without overstating it. I also had other contractors coming in during the time Flavio was there to give me quotes on other work - he was a helpful resource in sorting through what I was hearing. Flavio also brought in another professional to help me - Roy from Mayday Drain services - who was also great to work with and showed up on day two at the same time as Flavio - they worked really well together - niether ever tried to oversell me or complicate issues.
