PROJECT: I was redoing an interlocking stone driveway that required old stone removal, and redoing the driveway with new interlocking stones from scratch. As well as widening the driveway an additional 2 feet. And doing a patio up to the front entrance. ------------------------------------------------ GREAT ATTITUDE: I met with and got quotes from 3 TOP HOMESTARS Contractors before finally deciding to go with Daimon and ASHLAR LANDSCAPES. I wanted to ensure I had a reliable, trustworthy and competent individual, that I felt personally comfortable with. Daimon and his team proved to be all those things and more. From the initial friendly and courteous consultation, he displayed an extremely patient demeanor. His team is JUST AS personable, good-natured, and HARD WORKING as Daimon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WORK: Excellent workmanship is hard to come by. Coupled with a very likable personality it's no wonder they are at the top of their field. None of my requests were taken in vain, No promises were unfulfilled, and No detail of work was unsatisfactory. We were given a multitude of options, and even suggestions but never with pressure or over pushy. Advice was given on landscaping ideas without the feel of a bias monetary persuasion. (he actually steered me away from additional add-ons I wanted indicating he could do it with ease but would not be worth the amount spent in long run) They would start diligently in the morning, work the day right through, thoroughly cleaning up after themselves and accommodating in any way they could. I was home for the duration of the project and monitored the amount of detail that went into the job. Along the way the would keep me abreast of all the little things they were doing in the process that would ensure the driveways longevity in the long run. Me being a stickler for craftsmanship I can assure you .. no corners were cut. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- PRICE: Daimon was VERY COMPETITIVELY priced to competitors. He came in under my budget. and Daimon adhered to his original quote even though he did several small renditions there was never a markup. I HIGHLY recommend DAIMON AND ASHLAR LANDSCAPES for any project you may have big or small .. As the suggestions that he made turned out a more beautiful project than I had imagined. I was very pleased with their end project as well as their work throughout. I am having Daimon and the crew come back in the spring 2013 to do some landscaping and patio work in the backyard

I knew with the magnitude of our project that it could take up to 6 weeks so I wanted to ensure I had a reliable, trustworthy and competent individual, that I felt personally comfortable with. Ali proved to be all those things and MORE. From the initial friendly and courteous consultation, Ali wins you over with his genuine sincerity and his passion and experience in his field. His detail for GOOD WORK surpasses most GENERAL CONTRACTORS, BECAUSE ALI TAKES ON PROJECTS WITH A DEDICATION AND PROFESSIONALISM AS IF THE HOME WERE HIS OWN. (whenever asked about even the smallest detail they were doing he would respond with a precise answer as to what they were doing and follow it with "we like to do things perfect the first time so we don't have to come back for repairs") His team is JUST AS personable, good natured, and HARD WORKING as Ali. They would start diligently in the morning, work the day right through, moving delicately all my furniture and replacing it, and thoroughly cleaning up after themselves and being helpful throughout the day in any way they could. Sticklers for deadlines, on afternoons they were never watching the clock, they would work until completion of their set goals that morning. This project was LARGE. Of the 4 PRICE quotes - CANWOOD FLOORING BEAT THEM ALL. For the quality of work, and people I received, I would have paid more. Ali has 2 decades of experience under that toolbelt and it shows. From screwing down the baseboards beneath the hardwood floors, to the measuring of custom corners for bordertrims he takes such pride in his work and his customers satisfaction. His design and suggestion input was second to none, and never abrasive nor pushy, and gave me ideas I had never thought of. QUITE SIMPLY. THEY ARE THE BEST. MORE THAN JUST FLOORS: He garnered my full trust when he did such a spectacular job on the floors that I asked him to complete Jobs that I felt may have been outside their field of expertise. Was I ever wrong. I now believe that Ali DOES NOT have anything HOME RELATED that is NOT IN HIS FIELD OF EXPERTISE. shortlist of what I had done that was not a hardwood floor: - FULL KITCHEN RENO incl BACKSPLASHES AND COUNTERS - FIREPLACE REMOVAL (see pic of living room with tv) (he even wall mounted the tv) - *WALL REMOVAL TO MAKE LARGER ROOM* (and replace wall with SLIDING DOORS) - *MAKING A BATHROOM IN A BEDROOM FROM WHAT WAS ONCE A CLOSET (see pic) - WALK IN CLOSET SHELVING UNIT - 2 bathroom renos (including porcelain floors - vanity's - new toilets - ceramic tiled shower inclosures) - (ALI even insisted to let him sharpen my lawn mower blades one day when I was taking them for repair .. he did a better job on this also than my regular guy.) Thanks to Ali and his team I have a remodeled dream home, that looks NOTHING like it originally did.
