Last summer, my wife and I decided to redo our backyard deck as well as patio and stonework in our backyard and along the side of our house. We spent some time comparing companies online and received some in-person estimates. In the end we settled on Royal Decks. Miro was patient, calm and understanding. He answered all of our questions and made good suggestions. He made us feel comfortable and confident in his plan. After much research and debate about the deck materials (composite vs wood vs PVC) we decided on PVC decking. Our decisions were based largely on durability and stability of the materials, with an eye toward aesthetics and level of maintenance. Miro also helped us select the various stone materials to be used for the patio portion of the project, which helped make our life easier. Throughout the whole process, Miro was patiently receptive to all our questions and last-minute changes of mind. The work was started in mid-fall and, working around weather limitations, the crew finished in early winter. First the stonework was laid and landscaping was done. Chris and his crew worked quickly and efficiently, with Chris providing suggestions where he thought it warranted. We took his advice more often than not, and were rewarded with a great landscaping job, including a re-leveling of the entire backyard, which created a new functional space for us.  Next, our old deck was torn down in less than a day. Once the new deck was started, it took about three weeks to complete. Steve, Pat and Ron put their heads down and worked, no matter how cold or dark it was outside. Friendly and approachable, they patiently answered our many questions and took our suggestions. Many of our neighbours have complimented us on our beautiful new deck.  Very thorough and conscientious work by all. We are quite happy with the end result. The job was not cheap, but nonetheless, I would highly recommend Royal Decks to anyone looking for a team that does excellent work with an excellent attitude.

We needed a new roof and our search brought us to London Eco-Roof Manufacturing. We made a call to the company, and a few days later Rick came to our door. Once he explained the benefits versus the drawbacks, we decided to take the plunge. Due to inclement weather and a busy schedule, the sub-contracting company didn't come for a few weeks. But once they did, they performed their work quickly. They lost a couple days to a big rainstorm, but finished soon afterward. It's been three months and so far so good. Thanks, London Eco-Roof, for giving us a great product!

My wife and I were planning to renovate our master and guest bathrooms after noticing leaks. After interviewing several possible contractor candidates, we decided that NPC was our best bet. From the first interview to the final day on site, Natanael and his crew were professional, respectful, good-spirited, helpful and understanding. Natanael had a particular vision, but we always had the final say and he did everything we asked without the slightest complaint. He's always enthusiastic and full of energy. Even when my wife and I changed our minds on the fly and told him at the last minute we wanted this instead of that, he'd say, "No problem!" with good cheer. When we were stuck for ideas, he made great suggestions. When he didn't think something would work, he said so, and we listened to him. Natanael and his crew treated our house as they'd treat their own. They covered our furniture with dust covers and laid down cardboard ground sheets on which they kept their tools and materials. Where they made a mess, they tidied it. NPC's work was very good. What we requested, we received. Natanael and his crew displayed excellent workmanship and great attention to detail. Natanael estimated the job would take 5-6 weeks, and despite a few delays due to unforseen circumstances, that's exactly how long it took, from demolition to final cleanup. Not only was he on time, he was also on the budget he'd laid out in our contract. A couple weeks after they'd finished, we found some soft spots in the walls. We contacted Natanael and he returned to fix them, ever his cheerful self. If you're looking for a great contractor and renovations team, you can't do better than NPC.

On Wednesday morning, our furnace conked out. By Wednesday afternoon, our house was frigid. My wife did her research and found Boss Mechanical, Inc., and within a couple of hours, Joe arrived. He immediately grasped the urgency of the situation and was very sympathetic to our needs. After quickly diagnosing the problem, he presented us with our best options. Our biggest fear had come true, that we needed a new furnace. But a quick phone conversation with company co-owner Carmine alleviated our anxieties. His kind, calming demeanour truly helped us during this stressful time. He answered all of our many questions and gave us a great price for a new furnace. He said someone would come on Friday morning to install the replacement, and that installation would likely take the better part of the day. On Friday morning, Mike T and Aladin arrived around 8:30 and got to work immediately. They quickly swapped out the old unit for the new one and began the connection process. Once finished, they cleaned up what little mess they’d made and gathered their tools. They were done before noon. When they left, they took the old unit with them. If ever we need a new furnace (hopefully not!) or have any other HVAC needs, we will definitely turn to Boss Mechanical. Their customer service is next to none. From Carmine, Joe, Mike T and Aladin, to Tiphanee at the main phone line, Boss treated us like valued customers. Thank you, Boss, for making our furnace crisis a relatively painless one!
