Service: Full eavestrough install with alurex leafguard, new aluminum soffit installation over wood, sunroom removal, fascia replacement, and garage door capping. We are glad to have had Novak and his crew come and transform our home from drab and bland to a stunner on the street. After getting bad ice dams last winter and some water damage inside we decided to insulate part of the attic that wasn’t done in the past and get more ventilation into the unconditioned space through new soffits. Our experience: Quotation: Novak showed up when he said he would, thoroughly looked over the home, assessed any challenges and did more than just price a quote he consulted sending us renderings in different colours and styles. His detailed quote was thorough, descriptive and accurate come pay day. Job experience: The guys worked in the dreadful summer heat but were professional, clean, and careful. The installations appear to be strong and well done and the aesthetic change that a good aluminum install can do is dramatic. We even had Novak come back to cap our garage after it was redone post the big aluminum install. Honestly this is hard work and it was done with care by Novak. Of the 6 quotes we received his was one of the most competitively priced and I believe the quality would match any installer out there.

Service: chimney tear down and rebuild from the roofline. It was clear our chimney needed some care as the first few courses were cracking, displaced, and when I went up on the roof bricks were crumbling. To avoid a water leak and potential disaster we decided to get a repair or rebuild. We are glad that we went with Bill and The Chimney Company for this work. Here is why: Quotation: Of the 5 companies that we contacted they were the only ones that came and actually went up on the roof to check it out. Others were good but checked things from the ground only or just wanted to see my pictures. Job scheduling: They gave me a ballpark week and delivered within that timeline which I respect. Job experience: they were able to do the job while I wasn’t home but when I viewed how things were going on my cameras I saw some amazing things. These guys eve took care to lay down a tarp on the driveway so their trucks and materials didn’t do damage. They work very clean with the tear down and replacement as well. If it wasn’t for just minor indents in the grass and mulch around the house for the scaffold you wouldn’t even know they were there. Finished product: the brick match was amazing, they even treated the mortar so it would match the weathered 1970s mortar on the rest of our house. They fully watersealed and capped the chimney and were careful with our new gas insert liner too. All in all I was very pleased and would highly recommend this company for your chimney work. You know the old saying, “When something looks too good to be true, it probably is”? Well in the case of RC Woodmasters Tom/Tom are too good, and it is true. While they appear low profile in online searches I want to assure potential clients that they are legit and fantastic. I almost don’t want to post on here because you might take the spot for my next project. Why was I happy with the 150 ft long 6-8 ft. high fence with gate? Here are my four main reasons: Communication – Often the worst trait of a contractor is their ability and consistency in communication. Thomas on the other hand is very different. Thomas was quick to reply, accessible by phone, email and text, and didn’t shy away from taking the time to explain things which I valued. He never made me feel dumb asking many questions either and was very clear and transparent with invoicing and prices. Cleanliness – These guys leave the place cleaner than when they started. Even after mixing a skid full of cement there was no dust anywhere or hardly even a nail left. I have a 1.5 year old and we were out playing in the backyard each day after they left I had no concerns during the project. Value – I am not rich enough to buy something twice; so while price is important I wanted to spend money on quality. With Tom/Tom you get quality service, materials, design, and building all at a price that beat out the 3 other quotes I received. Professionalism – Provides recommendations, guidance from experience, does all work by hand (no nail gun), knows wind load standards, hand digs 4+ foot holes for concrete all in the blazing 35 degree heat.
