We had our 18 X 24 X 32 foot pool installed by Joel Evan Pools in 2022. Great experience! They provided us with references and we were able to do onsite visits to previous installation sites prior to signing a contract with them. BTW- we received great reviews from all the former clients we contacted! Fred walked us through the process and all our options. He made suggestions re lining and stair colours (chose grey stairs and coping rather than the usual white which gives our pool a very classy look!) and deck surround (went with a tinted concrete). He helped us to envision where on our lot to place the pool. Pool install began prior to the date promised. We were amazed at how quickly and efficiently the installation went. Can't say enough about their team. All were great! The site was left clean and tidy daily. Follow-up care has been great. They respond to all questions promptly and are very knowledgable about their products. Price was all-inclusive so no surprises at the end. We continue to use them for opening and closing of the pool. We have not encountered any problems at all. We highly recommend them! We absolutely love our pool!!

Great company to deal with! Competitive pricing. Good communication in keeping us up to date on plans and progress. Have had them do 2 jobs for us so far - a roof in 2017 and again this year (2021) to help with basement renovations. We have already ask for their help with a kitchen reno in 2022. A huge thank you to the Kovar team! We have had multiple experiences with this company and highly recommend them. They first came to our rescue in 2017 when we ran into problems when we mistakenly hired a rather unscrupulous roof company, who botched the job and caused multiple leaks into our home. The Kovar team was able to guide us through the complicated process of documenting and getting the other roof off our house and replaced. They did a fantastic job of installing a new shingle roof as well as repairing all the damages to our home (leaks, insulation, siding damage etc) caused by the other company. We have since had them back to do eaves troughing and the roof on out outbuilding as well. Another fantastic job by a professional, courteous and conscientious team! Site was cleaned up immaculately on all occasions. Without a doubt I would recommend these guys. I would trust them to do any construction around our home - Next will be the walkway, the rebuilding of an entry way.... and the list goes on! Kovar rescued us in 2017 when we had a botched roofing job done by another company. They were unbelievably helpful at that time and, late into the season, they were able to get the offending roof removed and a watertight roof installed in it's place. This time we had them back to do the roof on our shed to match. Another fantastic job by a professional, courteous and conscientious team of roofers! Site was cleaned up immaculately. Without a doubt I would recommend these guys. I would trust them to do any construction around our home - Next will be the walkway, the rebuilding of an entry way.... and the list goes on! A huge thank you to Jason and his team for coming to our rescue! In August of this year, we experienced a disastrous installation of a metal roof by another Ottawa based roofing company. They had damaged our siding. They had installed the steel panels improperly. They left the roof unprotected overnight when there was a of 39mm rainfall, resulting in a leak into the attic and damage to the ceiling in our hallway. This unnamed company (oh how I wish we could say who it is!) was given the opportunity to fix the problems they had caused. Given what we had been through already, we were concerned about the work they were doing on their second attempt. A friend recommended contacting Kovar Contracting for help. They came to inspect our roof within 24 hours of our request and confirmed our suspicions - that we were already leaking (again) -less than a week after the 2nd metal roof was “completed”. Jason helped us navigate this complex situation so that we would have the necessary, and proper, documentation to pursue legal action against the original roofing company. The verdict was that the metal roof needed to be removed (again) and replaced– for a 3rd time in a space of 2 ½ months. After such a bad experience with the metal roof, we opted to go back to a shingle roof. When the lawyer finally gave us the OK to proceed with the metal roof removal, Jason and his team acted quickly to step in and get a secure roof over our heads before the snow arrived. Communication was excellent throughout the process. Jason was always just a phone call away. He and his team have done a fabulous job of restoring our roof, repairing the damage inflicted upon our house by the other roofing company, as well as replacing our eaves troughs at the same time.
