10/10

I contacted All-Pro to fix my 10-year old driveway that was heaving the interlock. He explained what was done wrong with the original installation and what he would do differently to remedy the problem. The driveway was done quickly and at a fair price. It looks great!

Company Response

We are so appreciative of your review which also creates the opportunity for a “teachable moment” for HomeStars readers. It was unfortunate that your driveway needed to be re-installed. Your pavers were still in good shape, so a re-installation was certainly worthwhile for you. In situations where the pavers are of a certain age and deteriorating, I decline the job — unless the homeowner ultimately decides to replace the old pavers with new ones. For the benefit of homeowners who are reading this, I have decided to provide a brief summary of your project which we completed 14 months ago (end of August 2016) …
1) Removal of existing driveway paving stones (800 square feet).
2) Cleaning of jointing sand from lifted pavers.
3) Excavation of driveway footprint 12 to 14 inches below existing grade.
4) Supply and installation of recycled concrete as base, topped with 1-inch layer of natural screenings.
5) Re-installation of your reclaimed paving stones on new driveway base.
6) Supply and installation of new OAKS Centurion pavers (approx. 60 square feet) on new driveway base. (To create a driveway border, and to replace old pavers that could not withstand the rigors of the lift and relay process.)
7) Supply and installation of paver edge restraint system.
8) Supply and installation of polymeric-type jointing sand between pavers.
And, at the same time, we replaced some fence posts in your backyard.
Thank-you, again, for taking the time to write this review! All the best, Angelo
