We had a water supply pipe disconnect from a joint over the weekend and called around to a number of plumbers to come fix it. We settled on Alex because he immediately understood what the issue was and how to fix it, quoted us a reasonable price, and promised he would come the same day. He did everything he said he would and was efficient and polite. The next day we unfortunately had another plumbing issue completely unrelated to first and we called Alex again. He was at our place within a few hours and took care of it. We would not hesitate to recommend Alex to anyone looking for a good plumber at a reasonable rate. We hope we do not have any more plumbing issues, but we know who we will call if we do!!

The cedar shingles on our midtown semi were in an advanced state of decay and we considered three contractors to replace the shingles. We selected Tony at Westwood Aluminum based on his knowledge and advice and the quality We selected Tony at Westwood based on his knowledge of thesitesof his previous work (we visited a couple of his job sites). We were extremely pleased with the work of Tony's team. The team was very efficient, finishing the job on schedule on budget in just under a week in August and the new Maibec siding looks fantastic! Maibec is a much more expensive option than vinyl but looks much better in our opinion. We would highly recommend Westwood to anyone looking to have exterior work done on their house!

During what was supposed to be a simple basement reno, we discovered that one of our foundation walls was bowing. The options to reinforce the wall were complicated by the heating and AC ducting and electrical panel against the wall. After a poor experience with another structural engineer, we contacted Arvin to perform and initial site visit. He clearly explained to us our options, and was able to draw up a customized wall design that worked around all the ducting. We found a contractor to build the wall and Arvin inspected the progress at various stages. There were several complications during the construction that required Arvin's input, and we really appreciated that Arvin always made himself available for our phone calls and queries - sometimes several times a day. He was always very patient and took the time to provide detailed responses to our questions either by phone or email. We would recommend Arvin's services and wouldn't hesitate to use him again.
