Bathroom Renovation for Disabled
Lowe's Brantford They left my mother without a shower for a wheelchair. We are in week 20 and Lowe's refuses to co-operate. I had to have the bathroom rewired due to not having a GFI circuit on required outlets. Electrician was using the wrong breaker for the panel. Electrician took the lighted switch and left hall and outdoor light disconnected. The Contractor did not comply with the building permit. The Contractor did not comply with the architects plans, we had to reorder shower floor at our cost. The framing was substandard. The vanity plumbing had to be redone to comply with the wheelchair. The Contractor did not do the required electrical checks for the heated floor. The Contractor did not use a wet saw to cut the tiles, instead he used a grinder. The contractor setup on the front lawn and damaged the grass as well as dumping the left over mortar into the garden. Did not dispose of garbage in bags, I disposed of it myself and they left drywall against the house. Gaps between the window and trim due to the tile protruding. They had to re-frame the closet because they didn't put down the required sub-floor first. I cut the closet opening and did additional framing as well as repairing the walls, wired in closet light and switch. They did not finish the closet. I had to relocate the hall receptacle because of required framing in the bathroom. I relocated the light switches for hall and exterior light. The bathroom door was coming off the frame, they only used half inch screws for the door. Door trim did not cover the gaps at the top of the door frame. The header was too high for the door frame. There's probably more, it's just that bad. Now I know why they're called Lowe's!
