We hired another contractor in advance to remove hardwood/tile from our main and replace with new hardwood as we had a timed conditional offer on a new house - so the clock was ticking. The night before the start of the project, the other company bailed on us - it was terrible. I spent the next morning (Friday) calling any floorer I could find, and everyone said it was impossible to do in the time we had. We found Ebrahem through Kijiji, and he agreed to have a look, and after visiting he agreed to move some things around to meet our deadline. His team worked Saturday and Sunday, and didn’t stop until the job was done, just in the nick of time. Realizing how in a jam we were, Ebrahem agreed to take on a few additional projects, like carpeting the basement stairs and adding hardwood to the landing, and even repairing some laminate in the basement and fixing an exterior door that was sticking. It’s not just that the quality of the install was great, it was the commitment and passion the team brought to the project. My trust was understandably shaken from the first unprofessional company, and Ebrahem recognized that and worked hard to build the trust, to put my mind at ease that we would get it all done in time. The project went longer than expected, and still the team put in extra time to make up for it. They didn’t have to care that much about a total stranger’s project...but they did. You can’t buy that kind of loyalty. On top of it, the price was competitive, and Ebrahem had discounts on material and was always looking for ways to save costs. He also told me he was a good luck charm for selling houses (haha), so we’ll see in a few days if he was right about that too. Had a basement toilet backing up in December 2015, and had a few contractors check it. Valentin provided the best rate and we got such a good vibe from him....he seemed very honest. So we used his service, and his team came and replaced the U-trap very quickly, so my tenant could get back in the unit. We ended up using him again a year later at another property.

Igor from Algol was awesome! He explained everything he was doing and was very accommodating to my schedule - he even came over on a weekend. I ended up saving thousands of dollars by taking his service over others, and his work was great quality.
