The livingroom needed a replacement ceiling fixture. The bathroom needed a dimmer switch. And I had a curious question about how a control panel attaches to the wall. Rocky arrived at the scheduled time and got to work. He added the dimmer switch, installed an overhead light, and discovered hidden clips holding the control panel. Because the ceiling fixture had incorrect instructions, that installation was postponed. After the retailer explained the diagram, we called back Paradigm so that they could reschedule Rocky to complete the service. All the little jobs are finished and the household runs smoother.

The wall-mounted TV appeared in danger of toppling when the heavy-duty bracket lost an anchor bolt. As the original installer was no longer doing business we needed to find a wall mount specialist quickly. HD Wall Hangers Ltd. understood our urgency and calmed us by explaining that two of the three anchors on one bracket continued to provide stability. A pair of installers arrived on the scheduled day. They lifted the TV from the bracket which required the coordinated effort of both technicians. They added anchor bolts for concrete and remounted the TV. They tested the setup to make sure that all components worked as before. Every day since the bracket has been extended and tilted. There are no scares about it loosening or failing.

When the new kitchen floor was installed the flooring specialist noticed a cracked hose connecting the dishwasher to the sink. He recommended replacing the hose ASAP and called Harvey who came out that afternoon. Harvey explained that small cracks occur as the hose bends around fixtures and through cabinets. He proceeded to replace the brittle hose with a rubber hose. He brought the right size fittings and clamps to complete the job in one session. Finally, he moved the dishwasher back in place taking care not to dislodge the newly installed hose or gouge the brand new kitchen floor.

Microclear serviced the previous owner so when the replacement date rolled around, they came out to show us how to install the canister-style filter. It was pretty easy to twist it off but I appreciated the extra attention of getting a house call. They also know when weather events cause water turbidity and will suggest adding or replacing filters for the shower.

I will use HomeStars again to locate a reasonably priced service. My repair needs were simple but required the right tools, physical strength and experience. - Loosen shower handle, which was difficult to turn on. - Adjust shower door slider, which wouldn't open completely. - Align folding kitchen cabinet doors and lock hardware. Cairnstone Construction Services arrived when they said they would. They tracked down the replacement part and upon finding a supplier they advocated on my behalf that the part was under warranty.
