These guys saved the day after another company (Company XXX) caused a big problem. Basically, my condo building decided to hire a company to clean out all the dryer ducts in the building. The condo building got quotes from three companies. Company XXX was hired with a quote at $32 per unit. Anyways, rather than doing a proper job, they plugged the exhaust vent in my unit. (I think they tried to blow all the lint out the dryer exhaust hole but, in reality, the blowing just caused the lint to plug the exhaust hole.) All I can say is that your building should beware of going with the lowest quote. Anyways, Company XXX wouldn't respond to my calls. I found City Duct Cleaning because they described the exact problem I was having on its website (the dryer exhaust was now going into my washroom because, since the exhaust hole out of the building was plugged, it had nowhere else to go but into my washroom). My building hired City Duct Cleaning and they fixed my problem.

All I can say is that you should beware of going with the lowest quote. You need to be clear about what the company is going to do. The building had to hire another company to clear out my exhaust vent. I have been in the building for 15 years and didn't have a problem until after Comfort Clean did its "cleaning".

My drainline was getting clogged between my sink and the main line in my condo building. It was actually causing the water in my dishwasher to backup which meant that the dishwasher was using dirty water to wash my dishes. I called a few plumbers but several said they did not do work in condos. One of them referred me to Advanced Plumbing. Advanced Plumbing did a great job. I can actually hear the difference in the gurgle sound when the dishwasher is draining. The charge was actually less than the estimate they gave me.

I bought a dishwasher from them. I was originally going to buy it from another company but I got mad when they told me that the new dishwasher would be delivered one day and the next day (hopefully), the installer would come. I had a very bad feeling about this. I then went to Caplan's website and looked at their recommendations. I realized that another dishwasher would be better for me than the one I was going to buy from the other company. I then compared the prices of the new model at Caplan's and at the other company and it was $50 less at Caplans. Plus: -Caplan's installer (Top Gun) charged $200, not $330 at the other company. -Caplan's installer would deliver and install the dishwasher the same day. -Caplan's could deliver in three days, not two and half weeks at the other company. The salesman at Caplans was Matthew. Update: I later used Caplan's to buy a washing machine and fridge as well and I really didn't like the delivery: -I should have been told in advance to have some rags ready for the washing machine delivery. Instead, when I was asked for towels, I just handed them some of my good ones and they were basically ruined in the installation. -They don't clean up the packaging and put it in the trash. However, maybe I am being too picky.
