Hello to those trying to find a good cleaner! I gave Tsering at Good Karma Cleaning two chances... The first experience did not start off well. When I originally booked an appointment I mentioned I was looking for 3-4 hours of cleaning (I don't know how long it takes a professional to clean a 700 sqft apt.). I imagined they might say 4 hours, because the first cleaning, in theory, should be a robust clean to get the apartment to a great starting point for any scheduled future bi-weekly cleanings. But I'm a very neat and tidy person and when the cleaner first arrived, I mentioned that she could probably do everything in 3 hours, and before I even mentioned the additional hour if necessary, and before she even looked around at the state of the apartment, she was on me about it being 4 hours not 3 and showing me my email where it said 4 hours and yada yada yada. She obviously just wanted to be paid for 4 hours. Okay, no problem... When I got back from work, I expected my already relatively clean apt to now be as clean as a whistle... for 4 hours worth of cleaning from a professional, one would expect it to be. Buuuuuut, not so. I then decided to just wait until the company would follow up to see how everything went, and to inquire as to whether I wanted to continue with their services to bring up the deficiencies. Days went by. Then a week. It was only just before the next appointment were to happen that I decided to write them myself. I mentioned it was odd they didn't follow up, and I mentioned the deficiencies in their cleaning of my apartment. One of which was an oversight on my part--The windows were dirty and I didn't see on their website that they don't do windows anymore. My bad. But it seemed like the didn't do a lot more than just the windows. The kitchen floor was all streaky and the corners of the bathrooms and baseboards were all dusty and dirty. I mentioned those additional problems and was told they would speak to the cleaner and focus on those for next time. They also apologized for forgetting to follow up with me. So, I gave them another chance... For the second experience, I mentioned that we would only do 3 hours this time, that I didn't see the value in the 4 hours, and that I hoped they would address my concerns with the deficiencies of the first cleaning. I was told no problem, but they kept going on about the windows and all the other services the do that others don't do. Okay, I get it. Please just have the floors less streaky and the corners less dirty and dusty. 3 hours later? I have no idea what they did. Was she mad that I complained? I took pictures this time around, too. Check this: The bathrooms mirrors had fingerprints and water spots of them, the towel and toilet paper holders had water spots all over them (dirty rag to clean them?), the ceramic stovetop had streaks everywhere, the picture frames had dust all over them, the bedside tables had fingerprints and water spots on them, the floor around the couch was littered with crumbs, the couch wasn't vacuumed, AND my original requests/complaints were not addressed! Holy moly! I've cleaned my apartment myself for years. I know that I can lazily do an adequate job in three hours and I really just wanted to free up some of that time to be able to do some other stuff, so I got in touch with these guys having been recommended to me by another person. I was very disappointed in Good Karma Cleaning, and though I wrote them a second time regarding the deficiencies in my second cleaning, I decided to write this review before even hearing back from them. I don't give AF anymore what they have to say. I'm done with them, and would not recommend them unless you are a seriously dirty person and the slightest bit of cleaning would make a big difference in your life. Please find another company to use and save yourself some time and money. Cheers, David
