We had a leaky faucet which needed to have the cartridge replaced. It was also discovered that we had a very slow leak in our cold water pipe so that was replaced at the same time. I felt there was some pressure to commit to doing the work that day and there was definitely an attempt to upsell.

We train our service technicians to thoroughly inspect and assess the issue at hand as well as the surrounding areas. Thankfully, our technician discovered the leak on the water supply pipe and was able to communicate that to you. Part of being able to provide our customers with exceptional customer service is to provide various repair options. We do this in order to educate and empower our customers to make a decision that best suits them. It is our responsibility to communicate to you what level of urgency a specific repair may be. If we had not discovered that leak, it would only have gotten worse and may have ruptured at a time when you weren't home. The results of a burst, pressurized supply pipe, is catastrophic. In addition, it is company policy not to proceed with any work until all pricing has been communicated and the customer has given full approval to proceed.
