Hey John, Thanks for recommending Howard Sheppard to deal with my Firewall place problem. He’s a real down to earth guy, easy to work with. He basically diagnosed my smoke problem issues with out even looking at my firewall places but of course came out and did a though inspection. He provided me a cost to install a Chimney liner and if I decided to have the work done would deduct his inspection costs, which was pretty good. I scheduled a time and he and his son came and completed all the work in a couple of hours. I have and old insert in my basement that was not a certified unit, he wasn’t sure if he could connect the new Chimney Liner to this unit, and he told me this before I scheduled him. To demonstrate how prepared he was, when he came to my house, he brought another certified fireplace insert with him that he obtained form another job and was going to install that one as last resort and he was not going to charge me. Now that is pretty amazing but as it turned out he was able to use my existing fireplace insert and it works perfect. My smoking issues are gone and I am very happy. So again John thanks for the recommendation, I’ve got your site marked as a great source of information for all sorts of household problems and solutions!!! Take Care!
