I am so glad to have connected with Izaiah and Midtown Electric. He was very good at coming up with solutions, and also advised on something that was against the code instead. He did everything by the book with permits and was competitive in his pricing. In my view he went over and above to make sure work was done right. I will definitely reach out to him for any future electrical needs.

These guys were great at planning the move and executing it to perfection especially considering it was one of the coldest days of the year. I would highly recommend and use them again.

I had major grading issues around my house with one of the retaining walls around a window well also slanted and needing replacement. Toufic and his team gave me a very reasonable quote and worked with me to figure out a solution and a scope of work. Once the project started, Toufic communicated regularly with me, took feedback well, and went over and above by doing the little extra in the backyard and putting extra rocks at the side of the house . I would definitely use Scapevibe Contracting again and would recommend calling them to discuss your work and getting a quote.

UPDATE - After being really happy with the firm for not charging to review the issue (I have used them multiple times in the past), I was billed for $156 for an "hour's" worth of "work". In reality, Dave was over for 30 min and he did an inspection and identified there was no leak from the bathroom and I should check out the roof. I feel this was incorrectly portrayed to me when I first made the call when the dispatch mentioned they charge only if they do the work and not for coming out and seeing the issue. On questioning the price I was forwarded to George (owner) who decided to give me a discount and charge only $99 for the inspection to which I agreed. However when I received the invoice, they added $12 for shop fees even though no work was completed. For $12, this company has lost my future business as they have incorrectly portrayed a service and charged more than other plumbing firms had quoted me to come out and look at the issue ($80 vs $116). I believe this is a reflection of the company and not against Dave himself, as he is a very competent plumber (he's been to my house multiple times in the past). ---------------------------- Over the weekend we found our ceiling was leaking a little water and I called up a few different companies to see if they could come and check it out. Instant Plumbing was one that did not quote me any "dispatch fee" and clearly stated they will come and review the problem and if it's something they can fix they would charge a $159/hour (almost all other companies wanted $70 dispatch fee to even come and take a look at the problem + any additional costs on top of that). Dave drove out same day and checked the problem and was very meticulous and careful to not cut hole in the ceiling any larger than needed to be; little things like that go a long way in my opinion. He figured it was nothing to do with indoor piping and was probably coming from the roof and advised me to seek a roofing expert. He spent about an hour at my house and checked other rooms as well and showed me where the problem could be in the roof. I know this review is long but I wanted to pass on my appreciation to Instant Plumbing and especially Dave for being a professional and keeping the customer on the top of his mind. I would definitely recommend Instant Plumbing (and especially Dave) - FYI, I have also called them three times in the past with also excellent results (I believe Jeff has previously come to my house along with Dave as well).

I had originally called Peregrine for pigeon problems and possible squirrels inside the house - the tech I had originally talked to was very detailed and provided me of options and said he's come take a look at the pigeons and the ducts / openings. I was informed all I would need was to fix the pigeon problem with the spikes and quoted me around ~$400. I was told there did not seem to be any squirrels inside my house. I provided my consent and had the spikes installed. Peregrine was excellent in their follow up to check if everything went according to plan and if I had any issues - at that there were none so all was good. In the weeks following I realized we could still hear something within the house and it was definitely not the pigeons outside. This time however Peregrine had to come back 3 times to correctly assess the problem and quoted me different prices each time. Not knowing the complete picture, I had instructed Peregrine to install a one way door and did not go out for multiple quotes as I had been very impressed with their past service. Once I realized this did not fix the problem, I called Peregrine back to reassess at which point they provided me another quote to install another one way door on a different duct and install wire mesh covers on all openings. I was not in town so had little choice to get other quotes. I was a little upset to not get the full assessment by Peregrine and understand the full cost implications before I started the work but since this needed to be done I didn't care much. Peregrine also suggested I hire a dryer vent duct cleaner to clean the vents that the squirrels had gone in and also suggested I have the duct cleaners install a wire mesh as they generally install one for cheaper. I appreciated this and had a dryer vent cleaner come to clean and install the wire mesh but in the meantime Peregrine had come and removed the one way door and replaced with a wire mesh and sent me an invoice for $100 (the dryer vent tech had come and did not install the wire mesh and to get him out again would now cost more than a $100 for the service). At this point I had spent more than $900 with Peregrine and was upset they came and replaced the one way door with a wire mesh without informing me or confirming with me. Ultimately it will cost me more to get a different company out so am forced to pay for this as well but would have thought Peregrine would have taken all the work in the last 1.5 months into account when invoicing. The only option provided to me was to have them come and remove the wire mesh they installed which would leave the duct open to squirrels again. I will paying the last invoice of $100 begrudgingly but will definitely not call them again for any issues or referring them to any of my friends. In summary, they seem to be a good company with techs that know their stuff but in my experience they were not thorough enough in their initial assessment despite my complaints of pigeons and step noises from inside the house, they did not provide me with a complete cost estimate to help me make an informed decision, and lastly they proceeded to do some work at the end without confirming with me and did not offer a viable path forward for me other than to pay the last invoice. I would suggest to be careful when dealing with them and understand whether they are offering a complete solution or only part of it.

Moe was very thorough and suggested a few repairs that were definitely warranted. Only charged an extra $25 for the work and made sure to clean the area before he left. I was very impressed and would hire him again in the future.
