Enercare does not care about their customers and protection plans are a joke! I had protection plans renewed in Nov. 2019 and was planning on selling the property in spring 2020. At any time signing up or renewals its all done by phone I am sure I discussed the fact I was planning to sell my home and if warned I would be responsible to pay for a full year contract I would have not renewed. Now response is that I should know the contract cancellation policy but this was not disclosed on the phone or sent to me. On top of that, I was double billed from Nov. to May calling monthly with reference numbers 30588996 &31098857 so it took them 6 months to correct the error but they still kept taking money from my account all along even though one agent said they would put a 60day hold on collecting more payments and that was not even done. Now I have sold my property and they want me to continue to pay for 3 more months on these protection plans and the new owners nor I can use the plans so what am I paying for! These plans are a joke as the few times I did call it was always the same excuse that the plans don't cover what needed to be done. I don't recommend any of these plans unless you have money to throw away for nothing in return.
