Alan and Mark arrived on time and proceeded, as per the contract, to remove the old furnace and replace it with a new high efficiency furnace. No surprise. They also arranged for the old furnace to be taken from the end of our drive before they departed - leaving everything absolutely immaculate. Again no surprise. What was a pleasant surprise was what they did beyond the minimum promised. First they noted that our two drip pipes (condensation from the air-conditioner cooling coil and the humidifier overflow) went into different pipes to locations, a sink and a floor drain. The former was a real nuisance. They replaced them with a single pipe running tidily round the outside of the furnace room to the floor drain. Out of the way and very much better. In addition, instead of just handing us the user manual. they took the time to demonstrate the new touch screen thermostat so that I could immediately programme it to match our preferences – and their demonstration was much easier to understand than the manual! Finally, and the reason that I have waited a week to submit this recommendation, the furnace is much quieter than its predecessor and the heating is much more evenly distributed across the house.
