Lessonlearned in Calgary

I basically just through $9000 out the window, literally! The windows this company uses from Primary Seal are junk. 3 months after the installation (which was shotty) we had air leaking in our babies nursery and our bedroom. The company did come by several times to rectify and did honour their warranty and 6 months later replaced them, but only to have the replacement windows leak as well. By this time, less than a year later, our living room window was leaking air and moisture, and the kitchen window would constantly sag. After enough was enough, we realized there was nothing left to do but call around and get new windows...again! The comments we received from 3 separate companies were appalling. One even said these were the worst windows and installation he'd seen in over 20yrs, he even took pictures to show what should NOT be done. All 3 companies mentioned that the windows placed in all three of our bedrooms would never pass fire code and that to have the style of windows we had we should have had to sign a waiver releasing the window company from fault! THere are many window companies to choose from, my advice go with the big ones, ask around, if the price seems to good to be true it probably is! I hate giving companies bad ratings, I feel this company does think they are selling a good product and they do stand behind it, but their product is sub standard to begin with.

We bought all new windows for our house from this company and are having to have them all replaced as they are all junk (and that is being nice). Not only are the windows of such inferior quality, the installation looks like my 3 year old did it and here’s the kicker…the windows in our bedroom don’t pass fire code!! We have had three window companies come and give us new quotes and each one tells us more than the one before how poorly made the windows are. They have even gone as far as saying they are below builders grade! Mike Holmes where were you when I said yes to buying these windows. Garbage, they sell garbage that looks like window! I would try and find something constructive to say about these windows, but they are so poorly made. Lesson learned people, do your homework.
