Overall, the services that Reliance provides seem good, but we unfortunately had a negative experience with them. We signed up for their Trio Protection Package and the first job we used it for was to replace a mixing valve for our hot water heater. Reliance contracted a plumbing company to do the work. Although the mixing valve was replaced, the settings were not adjusted on the hot water heater, leading to a major flood in our house. Reliance sent the plumbing contractor back out to help mop up the mess, but they did not know how to address the major remaining damage (water continuing to leak from walls/floors, warped floors, damaged walls, etc). They instead said they would contact us in 3-5 business days to see if and how they would cover the damage that was the consequence of one of the companies they contracted. On top of that, they are charging us for additional consultation on the problems pertaining to the water heater/plumbing. I am disappointed with their ability to address a problem that was caused by their repair services and just hope that my insurance will cover the costs of their negligence.
