The scope of our project was extensive, requiring us to move out for 6 months (March 2018 - Sept 2018). We live in east end Toronto, (Coxwell/Danforth area), our home is semi-detached and approx 80 years old. Work completed: basement lowering 3 story extension out the back, main and second floor remodeling. Alex was essential the project, giving us architectural designs to consider and finalize. He gave us options (moving the furnace room to the far end of the property) that helped us maximize space in the new living area in the basement. He brought a clear vision to what we had been thinking. Alex stewarded us through the committee of adjustments (in partnership with renovation consultant) and was a liaison with the city when we ran into a complication (an error by the city that delayed approval of our permits). The process is pretty Byzantine so were extremely grateful for his expertise. Communication wise, it was pretty good. On occasion, we had difficulty understanding him (he has an accent) but he always understood us and our desires. In the end, the house looks amazing and Alex was a core part of the team that made it happen. Thank you!

We connected with Reiner very early on, knowing we had no basis of knowledge to move such a huge project on our own. We are so glad we did. His network of designers, contractors and architects were all excellent and worked well together. Reiner was also essential to getting us through the committee of adjustments in conjunction with our design architect. He further connected us to our underpinner, designer, and general contractor. All were excellent. Reiner was also very helpful in moving issues along and providing advice/options. He was careful to be impartial when it came to selecting vendors - he presented us with options and left the choice to us. He also assisted reviewed contracts, making helpful suggestions as needed. Overall, we would highly recommend Reiner. Our reno was smooth and delivered on time. The end result is something my family and I benefit from every single day. Thank you Reiner!

The scope of our project was extensive, requiring us to move out for 6 months (March 2018 - Sept 2018). Work completed: basement lowering (handled by a different contractor), 3 story extension out the back, main and second floor remodeling. Mike was lead contractor and did a spectacular job. Among the many highlights: - Always working: our neighbours often commented that there were people at our house every single day. Mike did not want to waste any time. He scheduled sub-contractors in a way that allowed progress to be made every day. -On time delivery: it was critical that we moved back home by Labour Day 2018. We did. That in itself speaks volumes. It was of course a bit hairy in the last two weeks but that is to be expected. Mike and team were still coming by for another month or so after moving in which was not ideal but in the big scheme of things, totally fine. - High quality: It really came through that Mike did not want to cut corners. It seemed as if he cared as if the house were his own. That passion was evident and shows in the final product. - Problem solving: Any issues we ran into were dealt with efficiently and effectively. He dealt with unexpected surprises behind the walls, sensitive neighbours, among other things. We met on a near-weekly basis to deal with day-to-day questions/challenges and he always offered a solution to the issue of the day. -Fairness: this was a big project. It was not perfectly smooth. On occasion we ran into communication issues that led to questions about cost one way or the other. We were totally upfront with Mike about these issues and he was great in responding likewise. Just last month, nearly 6 months after moving in, he came by to pay for a water meter that was accidentally disposed of. It was an amazing gesture of fairness that speaks volumes about his commitment to getting the job done right. Overall, we would highly recommend Mike and his team.
