Prior to our total home renovation, Belinda was able to work with my husband and me in coming up with some great ideas to work with. Once the reno is done, I cannot wait to invite her back to help me decorate our new space (especially after the FANTASTIC job she did with my sister's total redesign of her condo space). Belinda is personnable, she knows her stuff, and she is reliable. Looking forward to seeing you soon Belinda!

We hired Paul Gallop of Men at Work General contractors to undertake a total demolition of the interior of our century home in High Park, and to create a new interior structure with new steel beams and columns. Paul's knowledge of building codes, products, and practices is extraordinary. I am a highly detail oriented, research intensive individual. Until I met Paul, I had never before met a salesperson/business owner that I could not easily stump with some recent knowledge I had gained on the web. Paul's passion for the industry and in-depth knowledge is unparalled. Paul was also very flexible to our needs, providing guidance as necessary to help us make the right decisions, with budget in mind. After Paul had completed all the work we hired him to do, and the architect, and structural engineer had signed off, we undertook some further demolition of the roof area of the home. This led to discovery of a previously unknown roof defect, the support of which ultimately called for a larger column footing than originally built. Although Paul had done all that was required of him in the original contract, he volunteered to enhance the original footing at no extra charge. Paul's after sales service was fantastic. You won't find a better general contractor than Paul Gallop of Men at Work. Dave & Cheryl High Park, Toronto

We're house sitting my wife's mother's place in Markham and the air conditioning broke down. With her mom unreachable, and planning to sell her home in year, the pressure was on to find a reasonable repair for what seemed to be sudden coolant loss or other major compressor failure. Not knowing where to turn, as we have never yet found a good HVAC contractor, we turned to Homestars. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found Lou, the owner of Dave White Heating. I am a huge fan of the show Holmes on Holmes. Like Mike Holmes, Lou learned the trade from his father, and clearly `loves the job`. Lou epitomises old fashioned work ethics, professionalism and customer service. To top it all off, he`s a genuine nice guy. Lou willingly offered to come see us the next day, even though it meant he would have to work past 8:30pm. He quikcly diagnosed the likely cause to be a faulty capacitor, and returned promptly the next afternoon with a replacement. The replacement capacitor did the trick, and fixed the AC for only $200. Most HVAC contractors that are more motivated by profit, or who don`t love the job enough to learn to do it right, would almost certainly have told us to replace the compressor, which would have cost more than $2,000. You simply won`t find a better HVAC contractor, or a nicer guy than Lou. We are planning a completely new HVAC system and ductwork replacment this summer - and will call on Lou. We give Lou our highest possible recommendation
