In Aug 2016 we were hit by a micro burst. During the storm we lost 3 trees. A 65 year old pine tree was lifting the root ball and heading for the house, a 61 foot walnut was snapped off and laying in the yard and the worst was a 6'5" diameter maple tree that dropped a 2' dia branch in the neighbours yard and an equally big branch onto our shed. Alex Pol was recommended by a neighbour and we had no time to shop and very few options. I called Alex on the Thursday before the long weekend, he performed a site inspection that afternoon. I agreed to go forward and Alex rearranged his scheduled work to manage out emergent job. He arrived on the Friday with extra staff and the required equipment. The first priority was to clear a path to the suspended maple branch. He and his team worked carefully to avoid any further damage to the shed roof. He then moved onto the pine tree and brought it to the ground without any damage. To summarize, we had an emergent job with no time, few options and far to large for us to manage. Alex and crew made our site safe, worked with us to manage cost and risk. All of this was competed in a timely manner and at a good cost. He treated us very well, there was no additional damage and the costs were extremely fair. We as home owners were in a tough spot. Thanks for your skills and integrity. Ken F Hampton.
