What can I say about Pro Loc in less than 15 words? Team players, hard working, professional, respectful, disciplined, knowledgeable, friendly, organized, punctual, communicative, great workmanship. July 4th, 5th and 6th were the hottest and most humid days this year (30, 31 and 30 degrees Celsius resp.) These were the days that the Pro loc team laid our backyard pavers. Pro Loc is a well-oiled machine. These guys are no amateurs, they come with the knowledge, the right equipment and the desire to get the job done properly. Eight Pro Loc folks excavated our backyard, replaced the soil with the base for the pavers, tamped the base, built several retaining walls, laid the pavers, filled the joints with polymeric sand and cleaned up in 3 long hot days.. as promised. Dealing with any of the partners, Paul, Alex or Bill or any of the team members was a pleasure. As the project was advancing communications were always open as how to make any possible improvements on the fly. Our neighbours on either side of us and across the street made a point of commenting on how efficient the Pro Loc team was. Several of which had similar work done and their contractors took 2-3 weeks to complete the work, not 3 days. I would highly recommend Pro Loc for any landscaping project. Just contact Paul and hell assess your situation, give you a diagram of the completed job and provide a written quote. Did I mention our backyard is now beautiful! Very happy.

The crew who Ruairi at Murphy's Masonry sent was a 10/10. Eddie and Chilo were punctual, reliable, hard-working, professional, meticulous and communicative. . I met with Ruairi Murphy on 2 occasions to discuss his quote and the next steps. We also had several further email exchanges. . The mortar on our garage front was not only cracking but it was separating to the point where the bricks were shifting and it was a safety hazard. The aluminum on the garage door frame was buckling. The job was to remove all of the bricks on the front of the garage, diagnose the problem, correct the problem and reuse all of the same bricks. The timeline for the project was estimated at 4 days. Due to weather it was spread over 8 days. . Eddie would call or text me daily to advise on his arrival time. He and Chilo would always come when they said. Rain is not conducive to brick laying so this period in November was rainy which reduced the available daily working hours. Eddie would watch the weather forecasts like a hawk and let me know if the next day was going to be a full or partial work day. To keep the momentum going Eddie and Chilo worked through a weekend to make up for lost time. They protected their work with tarps for the rainy days. . As it turns out the cause of the shifting bricks was not a foundation concern (as first suspected) but rather a structural/lintel shifting problem. Eddie and Ruairi discussed and arrived at a solution, the rebuilding began....old brick by old brick. Cleaning off the old mortar and using levels on every piece of the puzzle. It was getting dark early so around 5pm the floodlights came out and they worked in the bitter cold. A propane heater was on site...not for their creature comfort but to aid in the mortar setting. . One challenge was to reuse all of the old bricks since a match was not available. A dozen or so bricks could not be reused which resulted in replacement look-a-likes to be inserted in the right side column and painted with a matching colour. The true paint colour did not reveal itself until it dried. I think the Home Depot paint department missed on the match. Eddie left the paint with me so I will deal with home depot to resolve (when it gets warmer!) . Oh yes, and during all of this the crew parged an inside foundation wall of the garage and tuckpointed a number of cracks on the back of the house. . Eddie and Chilo carefully cleaned up the job site and rode off into the sunset! . Would I recommend and rehire. Of course yes.

Just a quick review to let Frank and his team know that the refacing of all our cupboards is standing the test of time. It has been 6 years now and we have not had one problem with drawers, doors, hinges, material quality or workmanship. Still a 10/10 in our books. Paul and Carolyn

This is the 2nd time I have used Abbey Air....air conditioner install several years ago and today a water heater replacement. I would not hesitate to recommend this company. I called yesterday and Brendan arrived within a few hours to provide a diagnosis and a quote. This morning two service technicians arrived (I'm sorry I forgot their names) to install my new heater. All of these folks were efficient, polite, professional, neat, clean and tidy knowledgeable workers. They arrived on time and kept me informed of their progress. Thank you guys. Great job.

I would definitely recommend Brad and his crew for any tree grooming needs. Brad is reliable. He called to arrange a quote, gave a heads up call a few minutes prior to arriving, arrived on time, and the quote was very reasonable. When I notified Brad to accept his offer, he called me and we agreed upon a time and date for the work. Now the job.....Again Brad didn't disappoint. He arrived on time (after an advanced heads up phone call) with his crew of 3 others. All were very polite and professional. They went right to work armed with the proper tools. My tree looks great. Sorry for the delay in reviewing. I've been busy building in my backyard! Paul was very good to work with on the phone. We initially connected by my filling out the form on the GNFP website to which Paul very quickly responded. His crew was very polite, professional and hard-working. (six strong young guys) As promised I received a call that they were on the way.....arrived on time. Discussed the plan with me ahead of time. They drilled holes, filled them with cement and the rebar saddles. They cleaned up after themselves and were done in a few hours. Very satisfied.

Kitchen Refacing - 2nd Year Review Again - Thank you Frank, Donna and the Mikes! It's been just on 2 years since Techno refaced our kitchen. We are still extremely pleased with our decision to use Frank and his team. We have had zero/nada problems with materials or workpersonship. Hinges, door quality, configuration, drawers and appearance are just as good as the day they were installed. We would absolutely recommend Techno for your kitchen refacing needs.

I was pleased with Sutton and Son's service. I was told what day the tech was coming, and, I would receive a phone call prior to 9:00am that day to give me a two hour time window as to when he would arrive. This is exactly what happened. Steve diagnosed the D.O.A. problem (new Frigidaire washing machine delivered "dead on arrival"). Steve ordered the required electronic parts, notified me when they arrived and installed the parts the next day. Our machine is now alive. This was warranty work, Frigidaire recommended Sutton and Son as one of their 3 go-to repair companies in the Oakville area.

Seven homeowners in Oakville are extremely pleased with Can Do. In excess of 400' linear feet of fencing installed. They "Did Do" what they said they would do in a professional, efficient manner from start to finish. Both Alon and Samer were our contacts. They answered all queries by phone or email in a complete and timely manner. Samer met with all homeowners to draw up the contracts and final fencing plans. He was punctual, knowledgeable and efficient. What was really impressive was the teamwork. The folks who did the job knew exactly what they were doing. From the group that removed the old fencing, to the post-setters to the framers..... all matched the specs set out by Alon and Samer. Good communications throughout. This company is not your neighbourhood handyman with a hand auger, a wheelbarrow and 5 friends. These guys had the right equipment to do the job. Their own bins, delivery trucks, cement trucks, electric carts/dollies and more. The final results reflected their professionalism. Keep in mind the liability involved with letting workfolks on your property. Can Do is bonded, covered by liability insurance and Workers Compensation. This is important because other companies that quoted the job weren't even aware that these insurances were a factor. And finally, although Alon and Samer are parts of a big wheel with many spokes....they made all of us feel that we were important clients and we had their undivided attention.

It's coming on a year since Techno refaced our kitchen. We are still extremely pleased with our decision to use Frank and his team. We have had zero/nada problems with materials or workpersonship. Hinges, door construction, door finishes and cupboard configuration are as promised...durable and functional. We have friends who installed a Techno kitchen, they continue to echo our sentiment expressed above. Theirs was installed about 8 years ago. Here's a list of features we included in our design with Frank's guidance. My apologies to the folks at Abbey Air for neglecting to write this review sooner. In July 2016 sales Rep. Devon Williams came to our home and outlined our options and pricing for our central air replacement. Devon arrived on time and definitely was knowledgeable about the products he was discussing. He took the time to answer all of our questions. Very professional and friendly fellow. His quote was competitive. Jay and Marko did the installation. Professional, punctual and pleasant. They went right to work and completed the job in a neat and timely manner. The reminder to enter this Homestars' review came last week from our furnace technician who does our yearly service and cleaning. He specifically asked for the name of the company that installed our air conditioning. The reason.....compared to hundreds of other air installation jobs he's viewed, this was one the cleanest, neatest and most precise installation he had seen. He receives many requests for central air recommendations and he wanted to use my installation company as a "go to" name for his customers. I proudly said..."Abbey Air".

Professional, organized, punctual, helpful, patient, superior product knowledge, great workmanship, not high pressure and more. This is the least I can say about Frank and all of his team members we worked with. ..i.e. Frank, Donna (Oakville office location), Mike (Burlington resident) and Mike (Binbrook resident). This review may be lengthier than most but these folks deserve a bit of my time in return for the time they spent with us. Let me explain....it's actually a chronological journey of our happy Techno experience...... Our first exposure to Techno Kitchen - Oakville (BTW there is another location in Vaughan) was through friends who were, and still are extremely pleased with their Techno experience over 6 years ago. Next we bumped into Techno at the Home Show several years after. We were impressed with what they had to offer. Donna was our first contact in the Oakville showroom last June. Pleasant, helpful, patient, knowledgeable.....answered all of our questions and addressed our concerns. Donna made an appointment for Frank (owner) to visit us in our home with the door samples we were considering. Frank was punctual and very informative. He wasn't up-selling anything. His mission was to create a functional kitchen based on his experience that we could enjoy based on our tastes. His suggestions to change some doors for drawers and reconfigure the shape and size of some cupboards all made sense. We are living with those changes now and we are very pleased. Now just to stray away from the review for a moment and pass along my refacing learnings: * a refaced kitchen looks brand new. The doors are new; the laminated veneers replace the old veneer and is new; the moldings and valences are new; the kickplates are new. * the cost savings are derived from not replacing the boxes....however, if you need a box or two or more replaced, reconfigured, whatever....Techno Kitchens can do this too. * our kitchen refacing was done in 5 days, Monday to Friday. Techno appeared on the booking date; took exactly the time they booked and there were no extra costs....i.e. no surprises. During the installation time our kitchen was still usable. The cupboards were empty but the fridge, stove, sink were in service. * the countertop replacement can be done by one of the fabricators that Frank lists with or you can go it on your own. We chose to use one of Frank's contacts since Frank and Donna become involved with many of the arrangements and details. (very helpful) We selected granite and picked our own slab from a selection of hundreds throughout the three locations we toured. * we learned that the cost of a granite countertop can vary depending upon seams or no seams. Two of our countertops are "L" shaped. The fabricator can create a counter more cost efficiently with seams. (and the savings are passed along). However, we wanted no seams which added to the bottom line. Donna and Frank displayed their interpersonal skills when dealing with me re: the seam or no seam cost issue!! Back to the review....Frank gave us a quote after taking measurements and understanding the details and scope of the project. Once this was agreed upon, dates were set. First, Mike (Burlington) spent a day installing the new boxes we required and several of the roughed in gables that butted up against the countertop. Mike (Burl). was thorough, paid attention to detail and very personable. Techno is smart. The purpose of Mike's visit was to set the stage for the countertop folks. When the fabricator came to measure with the laser equipment, the size, shape and positioning of all gables and cupboards were in their exact final location so the counter would be a perfect fit.....and it is. Once the counter was installed with the new sink, Mike "Burl". returned for the final refacing steps. Oops...one more note about Frank. In between times we asked him to visit us re: an addition to the original plan. He arrived promptly the next day and finalized our vision...a new coffee bar in the dinette area. Now Mike "Burl" is a thinker. He plans well and takes pride in his work. For the week he spent with us he meticulously transformed our old kitchen to the new. This installation is an art. Every piece of veneer and molding was adjusted to a fraction of an inch to make the job perfect. Mike arrived on time each day and cleaned up before he left. Here's where the pride in workmanship kicked in...Mike noticed the finish on one of the valence pieces was not perfect.....he ordered a new piece from the manufacturer, booked a service call date and this is when Mike (Binbrook) arrived!! The new Mike was just as focused on perfection as Mike (Burl). He installed the replacement valence with a miter you would only expect from a machine. But wait, there's more...... We had been living with our new kitchen for several weeks and had some questions. In the true style of Techno, Mike (Bin) took the time to address all of our concerns, make several minor adjustments and then ride off into the sunset leaving behind another satisfied Techno customer.
