We bought a fridge and stove from Sears Oshawa on October 6th but were told delivery was not available until October 26th, we thought that was a long time, but we waited. On October 25th my husband and I went to show them the fridge was on sale, at Sears for a lesser price so we would like a refund for price matching, they were like, "No problem BUT you have to wait until AFTER the appliances are delivered," and we were informed at that time that OOPS they were going to call us that night because now the appliances were still not available and we were going to have to wait until November 9th, we were pretty angry as I really needed a new oven as mine was broken but what are you going to do? They also waived the $75 delivery fee, but again only AFTER the appliances are delivered, we thought okay its a small gesture since we would be waiting for over a month now. November 9th rolls around and the delivery window is 7am to 6pm so you cannot go anywhere and you must take the day off work. It was getting later in the day on November 9th so I called, they told me the appliances would not be delivered until DECEMBER 9th now!! No one called and I lost a day of work and now still no appliances! My husband went and got our money back but now we still had no appliances and we are incredibly angry that I waited all day and they knew no one was coming for months and never even called! I had all my food and freezer stuff in a cooler waiting like an chump for a delivery that was not arriving! They don't care about you missing work or the time and energy spent rearranging your food and freezer things when they have no intentions of delivering anything to you for months! Why are they selling this appliance in numerous sales over several months when they cannot deliver them for many many months after purchase? Something is very sketchy with Sears these days and I am not surprised in the least they are near bankruptcy. I went to Home Depot on November 9th, bought basically the same fridge and stove and it is being delivered next Tuesday, November 15th, 3 business days after purchase. They told me they have 87 of the fridges in stock and 34 of the stoves and they would be delivered on time. They waived the $50 delivery fee for us and the sales person was very straightforward with us and no BS at all. DO NOT GO TO SEARS FOR APPLIANCES UNLESS YOU HAVE SEVERAL MONTHS TO WAIT AND CAN AFFORD TO LOSE MANY DAYS PAY WAITING FOR DELIVERIES THAT NEVER SHOW UP !! HORRIBLE ETHICS!
