The first crew to arrive did not have enough piping to reach the furnace room, so we rescheduled for the following day. Paul Barrett arrived, and did the job cheerfully and efficiently, if a little brusquely. Service would have been improved if he'd asked where the registers were, and if he had had a vacuum to clean up afterwards. The optional add-on anti-mould spray was too expensive for what it was, at $49. But all in all, a good, reliable service.

Indeed Mr. Arthur, we were fortunate in being able re-book the following day. Being a busy company, such is not always the case. We brought with us 175 feet of vacuum hose....more length than is offered by any duct cleaning company in Ontario! The brusque manner you refer to may well be your inference of our intention to allow you to return to your everyday home-life ASAP. Thus, our technicians focus on expediency, and limit conversation to the task at hand. Had you not taken the initiative to show me where all the registers were in your home, I should certainly have asked you for the grand tour, given that it is an older home when yesterday's imprecise building codes lacked today's definition. Each of our 3 trucks is equipped with a powerful, portable wet/dry vacuum. Mrs. Arthur's enthusiasm had her one step ahead of the technician with a quick cleaning around one kitchen vent. Killing the fungus, mold, mildew and bacteria in duct work in order to maximize our ability to improve indoor air quality is highly recommended. NOTHING is so important as good health. The cost for this service therefore, is minimal and commensurate with its benefits and with our competition.

A very professional outfit, well run by Tony Devlin. The crew (Jessie and Darrell) were punctual, cordial and polite; a 2 day job was completed in 1 day with no fuss and no mess. I still have some more of those apples, Tony!

We have a 2-level basement in a back-split, which we needed renovating within 2 months (May, June). After going through a couple of other contractors, we found Mike Flammia (Sonoma Contracting), recommended by people who had worked with him. His estimate was about 60% of the other estimates we had been given. His team had the entire area gutted within a day—walls, ceilings, etc.—and then both floors in about another ten days. We had originally planned to take out only the upper floor, but on Mike's advice (and at a very reasonable price), took out the lower floor too so that it could be levelled with precision. They put in weeping tiles and a new sump pump under the floor, and levelled the concrete on both levels with lasers. All the crews Mike subcontracts are extremely high quality, and very personable to boot. The heart of the operation is Tony the framer, who will turn your informal plans into precisely measured and handsome walls, duct-boxes, closets, etc. Great planning and attention to detail: all the outside walls were insulated, the heating vents were brought down to floor level, the rewiring was top notch, with a new fuse box and even lighting done for the pergola outside. Gas pipes, drains, TV and computer outlets, a tiled floor in the lower basement, and a very beautiful composite in the upper basement. No nasty surprises—all unforeseen snags dealt with efficiently—and they finished on time. And these guys are just a joy to work with!
