After our first meeting with Gracie we were unsure if we were going to hire her as her knowledge of the style of curtain we were looking for wasn’t the best but she assured us she can get the job done, while saving a bit of money compared to other quotes. After our first meeting it quickly became a slow and quite painful process. Fast forward to install, she had formed the top of the curtains with paper (instead of having them properly sewn) which proved to be incorrect as most of them have fallen out and collapsed. Her installer was not knowledgeable at all and hung almost all of the brackets into our drywall with no studs. The worst part, recently our curtain rod (approx. 25 ft. long) fell off the wall while my 1.5 year old son was playing below. Thankfully he wasn’t harmed. We contacted her right away to let her know what happened and to have the problem fixed and the curtains reinstalled correctly. She was almost impossible to get ahold of and wouldn’t answer our phone calls but would reply with an email. She said the original installer didn’t want to come back to fix the job and told us to contact him directly. Because of the mess he had already caused we told her we would rather have someone else who knows what they’re doing fix them so we know it’s done right. She sent over a different installer who was nothing more than a guy with a tool box. He was super unprofessional and wouldn’t return calls or texts for days. He had to come to our house twice, to ‘have a look’. After the second time we contacted Gracie since we were without curtains for over a month already. She then told us she is not going to help us and it was up to us to find an installer to fix the job and that we are responsible for the cost. We explained how we thought this is completely unacceptable and after numerous back and forth emails we told her we will be leaving feedback on her site if this is how she is going to treat her clients who spent upwards of $10,000 on a custom curtain job. She threated legal action if we leave a review. In the end we found an amazing installer who took the time to fix every rod in our house that was installed wrong and paid him out of our own pocket. Do not hire Gracie to do any curtain work and save yourself the headache and extra costs of a poorly done job. Spend the extra money to have a real professional company do the work who values their clients. In the end it’ll be cheaper than what we would have spent having we had the job done right the first time.
