We made the mistake of assuming the estimator was going to speak to the installer. The contract didn't actually tell the installer anything about the special requirements that the estimator assured us would be taken care of. I should not have signed the contract. The work is guaranteed. Our installation leaked. someone did come out, and acknowledged the cause of the damage. Unfortunately he was not the guy who writes the checks to honour the warrantee. Everyone at Bathfitter has been very polite and correct, but unwilling or unable to tell us who exactly is the person who can honour the guarantee.

When we are feeling financially and emotionally up to redoing this project, we will be more particular, and find someone who knows good work from bad, can multiply price times square footage, and knows what day it is. In the meantime we spent $8000 for a floor so shoddy it looks worse than what we started with. It's just a shame.
