We have used Greenwood Painting for several of our projects, and they have always been excellent. This time we wanted the Stucco (popcorn) removed from our master bedroom ceiling, the bedroom painted (including woodwork), and the downstairs Powder Room painted. We also needed this done while we were on vacation. Greenwood have previously removed the Stucco ceilings from the rest of our house, and have always done an amazing job, with no mess left behind. All holes and blemishes are filled and fixed on the walls/ceiling/woodwork before painting. This time was as good as expected, the job was completed while we were away, and we returned to a freshly decorated bedroom and powder room (and no popcorn ceiling!). I would highly recommend Greenwood painting.

Needed new patio doors to replace the 20 year old builders doors, plus convert an existing window to a garden door out to our new deck. Ambia gave us several options, and we chose the doors with the integrated retractable screen, and e glass. Cameron was the sales person, and he was helpful, but it took a bit of to and fro before we agreed on the plan (including the cut down for the window to door conversion). The project finally started 2 weeks late, but Jerry (the lead installer) was very good. They had the old doors out, and the cut down done in a couple of hours, and everything finished at the end of one day. I also needed some baseboard installed which they were happy to do for a nominal extra fee. I docked one star, as there was sime minor damage (tends to happen when you have workers all over the place), and I asked Cameron to look at a sticking screen door (which never happened - I finally fixed it myself). We are very pleased with the final result, the new doors look fantastic. A good company, they tidied up after themselves very well, and the doors are installed well (the screen was an easy fix). I would choose them again.

Needed 8 conifers removed from along the fence in our back garden (getting too big). Also needed a rose bush removing. One firm said that they couldn't get their root grinder past our A/C unit (which is large), and suggested that they could cut the trees, but I would have to get someone with a small root grinder (he gave me a phone number of "a guy"). This was not the plan! Derek came in, said it would be no problem, could fit me in in a day or so. Derek's crew came in a couple of days later, and within an hour they had all the trees out - they lifted the root grinder over the A/C unit! Derek threw in the rose bush removal for free. Altogether a great experience, I would recommend Derek's service.

Our 7 year old kitchen floor was in poor shape, with cracked tiles and grout. Lucas from Castel-Mare assessed the floor, and recommended replacing the cracked tiles and re-grouting with epoxy grout. Luckily we had spare tiles left over from the installation 7 years ago. Lucas's team were delayed a week, but did a fantastic job, removing the original grout and replacing a total of 14 tiles. The epoxy grout was matched to the original grout color, and looks great. The floor feels like new again. They also refinished our en-suite and entryway. The kitchen floor refinishing was good value for money, but I thought the cost of the grout cleaning and re-caulking in the en-suite was a bit expensive. A minor quibble.

Our 20 year old carpet needed replacing, and we got a quote from Simon. The stairs were the main issue, as they have 2 landings, and run from the basement all the way up to the first floor (3 stories). Simon assured us that he could refinish the existing handrails/newel posts, install new stairs and landings, and match the stain to the flooring we chose. Simon was booking 6 months in advance, but we decided to go with him as we had other redecorating to do first. It was worth the wait! Simon, his dad and the rest of the team did an outstanding job. The new staircase is beautiful, and the custom stain matches the flooring we chose (white oak) perfectly. Simon also replaced our old baseboards, and touched up any paintwork. Note: the baseboards Simon provided are primed, not painted, so we got our painters back to paint them. Not a big deal (we had just repainted), but worth knowing. Simon was very responsive, and always answered our e-mails and phone calls promptly. The results are outstanding. We are so pleased with our new floors and staircase. I would highly recommend Simon and his team.
