We checked out four different companies before deciding on Vel. We didn't go with the most expensive nor the least expensive, we decided to go with the most helpful and knowledgeable company. Kim, right away, was super helpful in informing us on permits and what it would look like to try to get ourselves or go with professionals. Kim sent me links on how to get a building permit yourself and assured me that it was doable if we wanted to try. She even was quick to answer a bunch of questions throughout the whole process and we were successful in getting the permit ourselves. When the windows were installed we were impressed on how professional and respectful the workers were. We even came home to find one of the guys cleaning up the siding of our neighbor's house, since a bit of dirt must have sprayed over there during construction. We did have minor issue with the interior trim, but was fixed right away - no hassle. What the job included for us was installing a brand new basement egress window and enlarging 2 existing basement windows to egress and included: digging, concrete cutting, installing a window well, additional drainage, window installation, dirt removal, and interior trim. We love our beautiful new windows! Thanks again!!!
